Lol, whatever Zep. Take a basic economics class already. Upwards mobility has and will always exist in capitalist America. I’m a prime example. I grew up in a town house. Now I own a half million dollar home. No Inheritance, just hard work and a willingness to go the extra mile.

I just want to point out the 2 lamest, and most factually incorrect things I’ve seen here.
- Bernie Sanders supporters are stupid.
Definitely not true. If you’re defining the word stupid as ‘someone who likes bernie sanders’, then I guess it fits your definition, but I can absolutely guarantee an enormous percentage of the people who support him have college educations, and are above average IQ’s. I’ve never understood why either side uses this to attack the other. ‘You’re stupid, no YOU’RE stupid’ never furthers legit discourse.
- Sanders supporters are not ‘looking for free shit’. I’m certainly not. I’ve made a 6 figure income for about the last 7 years. I’ve got an awesome house, cars, etc. Living a good life. I don’t qualify for any government subsidies, I’ve never received any sort of welfare, grant, you name it from the government, and I never will. I and the vast majority of the people I’m close to live similarly. Most of my friends are also Sanders supporters.
It’s truly unfair to characterize Sanders supporter as money-grabbing freeloaders without an ounce of intelligence. I’ve always considered these sorts of attacks to undermine the attackers arguments, because they don’t have real ammunition. There are absolutely arguments against each candidate running. Sanders isn’t perfect. But if the best you can come up with is he’s a communist, and only poor stupid people want him to win, you’re going to lose the argument.

I don’t think that anybody here who has a brain is calling everybody who supports Sanders stupid.
Much has been made about the fact that he could not hold a job in the private sector and that every dollar he has ever made has been from the federal government, right or wrong I don’t see how somebody who had never had to worry about a business succeeding, can have any clue how to regulate business.
On a similar vein, his economic policy has been picked apart pretty well on these boards, and the numbers are not good. Maybe he will revise what he is trying to do if he gets the nomination, but who knows.
He has locked onto a similar demo as Obama in 08’…youth who are sick of the establishment (almost similar to Trump’s supporters, but they tend to skew older) and want to hear that they are gonna get some cool shit in life. The cynic in me wants to tell them that they have to work their ass off to get that shit, but it’s far easier to demonize the rich… Those greedy, corrupt bastards.
I think that folks like yourself are not looking for a handout, but if you think that a kid graduating college with 100K in student debt and a social sciences degree, is not…well I guess we will have to agree to disagree.
