I hadn’t heard about it but let’s hope it’s true, I’m sick of so many gun related deaths in this country.

LOL, another low information voter. The woods are thick with 'em. Maybe we should do an intervention with you by stuffing you into the Breitbart shower until you come out all scrubbed and clean and smelling good.
Haha that’s hilarious, a foxnews link dropper accusing people of being low information voters.

It’s like some mythological cornucopia of ignorance with this fellow.
I assume your referring to the fact foxnews has a right wing bias and like all major news sources many of its viewers are not the most educated. Just curious what about that article was biased or factually incorrect? There must be something that stood out if for you to mention it.

So I read today that ol’ Syed listed his political views as “very liberal” on his Arab Lounge dating site profile.

Interesting.
Seriously? That’s priceless. “Arab Lounge”. Lol

Can we find his profile?

Looking for possible child bride: 0-8 years old

Lol

Well dang, I’m finally proven wrong about something regarding these Islamic terrorists. I’ve said they are not extremists but moderates. Well, good to keep my ego in check.

More people die from “In situ neoplasms, benign neoplasms and neoplasms of uncertain or unknown behavior (D00-D48)”, whatever the fuck that is, than homicides perpetrated with a firearm.

4.8 vs 3.5 out of 100,000

The perspective in this country is unreal.

Mean while, 13 out of every 100,000 will kill themselves this year or roughly 41,000. I don’t hear a single peep about this…

9.6 out of 100,000 will die from falling…

Meanwhile 23.9 / 100,000 will die from Diabetes. I don’t hear anyone clamoring to restrict the production and sale of Lucky Charms.

What you see is all there is. People tend to focus on what’s in front of them and don’t think “outside the box” (the box in this case seems to be the television/MSM).

It’s incredible. You are almost 3 times more likely to die from falling than by a firearm homicide.

Right … we should probably start talking about gravity control…

We should, at the very least, restrict production and sale of stairs.

Now, I know correlation doesn’t mean causation, but I’m still waiting for a logical answer as to why does this country has the highest rate of gun related deaths per capita among developed countries.

And the countries with more relaxed gun laws, like, say, Switzerland, or Finland, usually have a higher rate too, compared to others with more strict laws.

Now, I’ve seen conflicting data regarding Switzerland, but the point still stands.
We have way more people (which matters even when looking at per capita #'s) and a greater “melting pot” of cultures than most other developed countries, a significant gang and drug problem, as well as an unsecured southern border that allows people and drugs from 3rd world nations to enter our country unopposed.

That WAS a logical explanation, thanks. Yeah I’m sure the stats would paint a different picture without all those factors you mentioned.

But there still seems (and I stress “seems”) to be a trend of “more guns=more deaths” regarding other countries without the aforementioned issues.
It may “seem” that way, but only 3.5 / 100,000 are killed by guns and that is with all of those factors. Solve the border and gang issue and I’d bet money that number drops in line or lower than other developed nations with more strict gun laws.

I also forgot to add in another significant factor, America has more large population urban area’s (cities) than most other developed countries.

Be careful what you did there. Are you talking about gun related deaths or deaths? Shouldn’t we be concerned about decreasing violence and assault related deaths overall instead of concerning about what mechanism the individual used to kill?

A country with more guns might have more gun related deaths but less overall violence and assault related deaths. I would take that situation over low gun related deaths and high overall violence/assault deaths.

Also, decriminalizing drugs would drop the gun related and gang related deaths significantly as well. Most of that violence is over turf beef on which to sell their “product”…

I have been trying to say this all along, when you stop the hysteria and look at the actual numbers, this epidemic is more fabricated than anything else.

Sadly, lots. It takes lots of blood for people to ‘get it’.
