I recommend it if you really enjoy having to keep guessing about what’s coming next.
Seriously? The outcome was pretty blatant from the start and the twists were extremely predictable.
WTF?

This is 2010 almost 2011. What movie being made is still shocking you with an ending?

Please, share with us the last magical completely UNPREDICTABLE movie you saw. I’ll wait.

This movie was done well and acted out well. I like the movie because of the moves she did in taking people down and the camera work. I don’t watch movies in general look for something to shock me…and am very surprised some of you use that as a reason to say you hate a movie when no movie being made is shocking anyone today which makes that comment complete bullshit.
I don’t read the books, but Harry Potter continues to shock the shit out of me with plot twists. lol.

As for Salt, I enjoyed it. However, it really reminded me of Kill Bill, which was a slightly better movie.

For plot twists, little girls raised to kicking ass, and pure awesomeness, this one was pretty cool as well.

Yet to see Salt, with all the recommendations on this thread looks like I need to go rent it.

Loved Kill Bill but I guess I’ve been a fan of the old Martial Art movies for a long time. But I did admire Uma Thurman’s calculated exacting revenge on each of her attackers that betrayed her. Although I wish she finished Elle Driver.

Harry Potter plot twists? I don’t think I could make myself read the books and while I was fan of all the movies, the last one was a drag. The main highlight being how Emma Watson has simply blossomed

So those balls in your avatar make sense now. Do you also find that when you eat hot dogs in public, gay guys hit on you?
lol. That was actually pretty funny.

I’m a martial arts fan as well and you rarely see good sword fighting. People don’t chop other people length-wise in half from head to pelvis enough. That’s like one of the most basic samuria moves you learn after how to hold the damn sword.

I also haven’t seen the latest Harry Potter movie. My brother and other fans of the book gave it some great reviews. I think they care more about how accurately it follows the book than whether or not your ass falls asleep halfway through, though.

Then I would say both of you are insane. There is a HUGE difference between thinking “well, she isn’t a 10 to me” and flat out saying she isn’t attractive. We all have our preferences, but if you really look at her and think “ugly”, then the rest of us might look at you and think “gay”.

She isn’t the kind of girl I would usually run after because she has no ass and is short on curves…but you can bet your ass I would stare hard if she walked by.
Agreed.

I’d like those of you who don’t think she’s attractive to show us pictures of the dime pieces your banging.
I thought she smoked the screen in Wanted. Wanted is a cheesy movie (with a weak storyline), but Angelina’s action scenes in that movie were very good. And then there’s the tatts. Fuck maybe that’s why I like her so. Lithe body, polished accent, brunette, tatts.

I’m not expecting the world when I go see her movies (certainly no Cate Blanchett) but good value nevertheless.

Jolie plays the “you would be so lucky to even get near me” hot perfectly.

Uma is unreal in KB. I love the movie shifting to B&W when she tears up the Crazy 88s. I think there are very few sword fighting movies with female leads. You might need to research Japanese films.

I think the last movie needed two parts because they were “catching up” on missed material from the first 5/6 (?) movies. I guess they need to hit major occurrence during the movie but there is so much detail in the book that is missed (this is obvious of all adaptations I guess and confirmed by two close friends and my wife who have read all 7 books).

All I can say about Deathly Hallows Part One is that the storyline becomes more clear, the past becomes known - but they still takes ages sharing that with you on screen

She’s doesn’t seem like one of those stuck up chicks. She even does her own grocery shopping.

I had a school project in the 7th grade where I was to write a letter to a celebrity and get a picture with their own signature on it. The Project required two celebrities so my first one was Ms. Jolie and the other I got was R. Reagan. Pretty cool.

Kill Bill was a play on several martial arts movies even down to the jumpsuit/motorcycle jacket she wore. Comparing that movie to anything more reality based is just wrong. I personally think Salt is worth getting in blu ray. The extended version adds more scenes and goes into more detail.

Just remember, complaining that a movie didn’t shock you with a plot twist today has to be the lamest reason you don’t like a movie.

It isn’t like I watched 300 SHOCKED that the Spartans went to war and died.

Oh come on. You couldn’t see the blatant plot comparisons between KB and Salt? I thought that part was a pretty obvious rip-off (how she exacted revenge to those she was pissed about dying. Even the same person dying. And the end of the movie was basically kill bill 2 all over again). It was still a good movie though.

Saying Salt didn’t rip-off Kill Bill is like saying Edward Scissor hands didn’t rip off Beauty and the Beast. Even the fight scene at the end was the same! Roof and all.

Big call. Ok I shall go see this movie ASAP. I recently only bought Predator on Blu Ray, worth every penny.

Blu Ray is the shit. I just picked up “Town” on Blu Ray…I’ll probably watch it tonight. Only problem is, I hate watching regular DVDs now…fucking Blu Ray player and it’s $30 Blu Ray discs on average, costing me money and shiii

I guess you’re probably against the whole www.torrentz.com thing huh? It’s illegal, but it’s free. I’ve watched many movies the day they came out in theaters. The trick is to save nothing on your computer, delete immediately after watching, and turn off the “seeding” feature. I don’t think anyone is going to get sued for having one movie on their computer.

Blu Rays ARE expensive. I went to a recent sale and that’s how picked up my copy cheap (paid around 10USD for Predator, I’m due to be passed Rising Sun on Blu Ray too). But I also bought a ton of DVDs at the same sale.

Back in my day (sorry I feel so old saying this) DVDs were expensive. Took ten years for the prices to come down.

The quality on Blu Ray is exquisite though - so damn real - I need to buy a HDMI cable though. I use a PS3 to view. I remember watching the first Transformers movie on it. That was fun!

?

The plots were not alike. They were both “Revenge Movies” but that is where the comparisons end. Just because they are both “revenge movies” doesn’t mean the plot was the same. The plot of ALL revenge movies is to kill the people who wronged you…and no, sorry, but Kill Bill didn’t have Uma showing ANY compassion at all to anyone. Salt didn’t even kill anyone except the guys who killed her husband. Everyone else was just injured.

You might as well say that new Rock movie coming out has the same plot because it is a “revenge movie” as well.

It’s tempting, but I know a couple real life cases of people getting sued for downloading DVDs. The main culprit was the movie “hurt locker” they were getting at people left and right for that download.

However, like you said, if you turn the seeding feature off, you’re golden. You cannot get in trouble for downloading pirated videos, you get in trouble for sharing them. Limeware and vuze and all these programs are file sharing programs, they take the media on your computer and use it to host other peoples downloads, so if you aren’t allowing that to happen you shouldn’t have any worries.

I download pirated music, torrentz.com has filled many an ipod, but lately I’ve been feeling morally obligated to buy my music/movies lol. Damn it though, it’s expensive.

Netflix has been a lifesaver!

I bought a 79.99 monster HDMI cable from best buy for 15 bucks cause I work ther

Makes a difference for sure.

Most people, find Blu Ray weird when they first watch it because it looks soooooo real. Once you get used to it, it’s crazy how much improved the quality is compared to regular DVD. I like watching videos a lot.

Just got a new TV, redid the living room, now it’s time to get some more Blu Rays and some girls over.

I just found Blu Ray made everything come to LIFE. The first time I watched it I thought the images were “imposed” on each other, making faces and structures almost 3D. Anyway fuck that, we’re not discussing Blu Ray physics. Hope you score! haha.

I hate to say it but I’ve used torrents before, not like I did many years back. I use it mostly for music now and finding ebooks. I have downloaded some movies but end up having a medium (my PC) with shitty quality for playback (my PC at home is 5+ years old). So I’ve missed a TON of movies, that and being married you catch movies once a blue moon, I trust when the family finally comes along that would be even less. <insert modern day blockbuster star that I don’t know> who?
