Saddest Film or TV Scenes

I’m embarrassed to say this, but “PS I Love You” was really fucking sad. When she was listening to the answering machine message over and over so she could hear her husband’s voice (he had just passed away) I got a little choked up.

As wierd as it was the episode of entourage where nobody would give Vince a job and everybody was on the plane heading back to queens was sad.

Also This, the “Rage vs. Serenity” scene in Xmen first class.

That reminds me that I found the part in Captain America where skinny Steve jumps on the dummy grenade to be wonderful.

second offering is when james van der beek in Rules of Attraction tries to tell a girl he loves her despite him being an ‘emotional vampire’ and she harshly rejects him when he was finally trying to care about someone other than himself.

not a terribly moving scene in general, but i was a vapid self absorbed asshole in college and had a similar experience when i actually tried to rise above and was denied as well.

Bambi’s mom.

The '71 movie Brians Song

When Pumping Iron ends

when they left willem dafoe behind in platoon,i was bawling.
when the long lost sisters unite in the color purple.

OK, I saw your name as the latest one to post here and I was completely ready, before I knew what you’d posted, to say: “What? It’s not the last scene from E.T???

I gotta go buy a lottery ticket now.

The final scene in the season finale of season 5 of “supernatural” is by far one of the most emotional scenes to ever put on tv.

Here’s a heartbreaker, this is the funeral for Petty Officer Jon T. Tumilson one of the Navy Seals who was killed in the helicopter crash. His dog Hawkeye layed by the coffin the whole time very very sad

I like Supernatural not just because the guys are cute either.

It cannot hold a candle to the Buffy the Vampire Slayer tv show.

Supernatural is too overly dramatic imo.

That one reminded me of this video I found on youtube. More of a happy cry.

The mere fact you are comparing “buffy the vampire slayer” to one of the most critically acclaimed and worshipped shows of all time, is remarkable to me. I will agree, that buffy did have some decent emotional content. But please, overly dramatic, lol. do you know anything about the series, its whole premise?

How the brothers were raised, what happened to them, to their family. yet you call that overly dramatic, lol. why do i feel your statement is simply trying to get a rise out of me, lol. no other explanation makes sense.

You gotta love RVeality. It’s a world where ANYTHING is possible. =)

My actual submission is for Seven Pounds. There are a few movies that get me teetering on the edge of pussy, but this movie sent me over the line. Kind of frustrating to watch but I feel the payoff was well-worth it. When Woody Harrelson can make your lip quiver you know you’re watching a hell of a movie, haha.

It was quite sad, but I didn’t cry. =( However I’ve never fully devoted my viewing attentions to Futurama so I think the character connection may be lost on me. I was out running around wild when Futurama was on. =P

My loss I’m sure.

This Futurama episodes is definitely one of the saddest things I had ever seen. It’s best when in context with the rest of the show. Fry chooses NOT to bring the dog back to life because he was sure that the dog lived a happy and fruitful life without him… and then they show that shit. I was caught off-guard first time I saw it and was a gigantic pile of man-blubber.

well, I have seen every supernatural episode for the 6 years its been on. and i also used to watch Buffy. and yes, i did enjoy watching buffy. but buffy for the most part, was a teenybopper show along the same lines as “vampire diaries.” supernatural is a much more adult oriented show, with much more emotional content. I’m a bit taken back, by you comparing what amounts to as a teenybopper show to supernatural.

the fact that you can compare anything in buffy to the season finale of season 5 of supernatural, proves to me, your an idiot. I have yet to see any scene on tv, that even remotely comes close to this, as far as being emotional goes. nothing.
