Did you administer this test with shocking results?

LOL. Quick story…

I have a buddy (it’s not me, I swear) who went to school in Japan for a year. He was out one evening at a club and heavily intoxicated. A pretty woman with nice tits and a great body starts talking to him, and they hit it off. So then he’s dancing with her. They make out. Then, he starts feeling her up. One thing leads to another, so now he’s rubbing her crotch over her clothing. After a few minutes of this, he goes under her panties with his hand. This is when things get weird. He says there was definitely a hole, but it was in the wrong place; like it was too high up or something. He then realized what was going on. We still rip on him for it.

I’d love to go to Thailand though, sans Lady Boy.

Ryan, so glad I finally got to meet you! Have a great time in Thailand and stay safe. See you when you move to San Diego.

Sheesh. How is it YOU get to meet the really cool…I mean eccentric…people, huh?
Well, I don’t think Ryan was here to meet me, but I was thrilled to meet him finally. And yeah, I do get to meet some pretty eccentric and interesting people from the site, don’t I?

Don’t drown.

Have fun my friend…here is a parting gift from your buddy Lama.

Way to go Ryan! Good for you letting go of the rock and carving out your own way. It takes balls, and I’m happy for people who do it.

It’s a pretty hectic time in my life right now, and I’m starting to wonder what in the world I’m doing. Don’t get me wrong, I love biochemistry. Always have. But I suffer from “George Bailey” syndrome in a rather bad way, and this year is the end of my MS thesis. I’m wondering whether I can be happy in established American civilization.

Due to circumstances beyond my control (long story-don’t want to hijack too much :)), I did not enroll in phd programs for the coming fall–I had planned to take time off anyway, but not 15 months (May to next Aug). It’s been a lifelong goal of mine, as far back as elementary school, to travel the world and do lots of interesting things. I don’t like being cooped up.

But I’ve never travelled much, and never got to do those things, and now its looking like circumstances (newly out of school and needing health insurance, paying back loans, etc) will prevent me from saving the money I want to to travel before school. I don’t want to be old and established and responsible when I travel–I want to be young and unattached and free. And I’m starting to think it may never happen. Which is depressing beyond words to me.

/hijack

Suffice to say I’m jealous, and l really hope for the best for you. I’m still looking for ways to do it, but it’s not looking good right now. I suppose if I were debt free it wouldn’t be much of an issue, but I’m not and it is an issue, since the deferment plans on my loans means I’ll have to start paying it back before I get to the next level of schooling (my timing sucks).

Rooting for you on this one. Keep posting I love to read the rants.

Holy hell Lama, that is one hot picture.

Heh heh. More kids flying to third world countries… watch your ass boyo.

Southeast Asia never had any kind of allure to me… always rebellions and wars and genocides… but more power to you man.
I always wanted to go to Morocco, so I hear you about traveling. Good luck with it.

HEY! Not true at all!

Bowm chicka bowm wowm.

I might have to make a stop through Utah on my way back to NY.

The other night I met the big guy. The head honcho. The big kahuna. The man that needs no introduction. …Mod Burtreynolds. Nah, kidding. Wednesday night I had the pleasure to be treated to the best sushi I’ve ever had, by TC and his wife. (Note: I’m sure mod burtreynolds is pretty cool, too.)

I don’t even know where to begin. These two are seriously two of the coolest, nicest, and down to earth people I’ve ever met. My friend Liz, the girl I’m staying with, agrees.

I’ve been linking Liz to Atomic Dog each week basically since I met her this past summer, and loves it almost as much as the rest of us. Even so, she was a bit nervous to meet them. Even though she stayed relatively quiet, she couldn’t help but laugh everytime TC make a remark. At one point he was telling a story that was so funny, I spilled my drink on my shirt. Funny shit.

We showed up a couple of minutes late (sorry, you two… but we’re both idiots who cant navigate places without a grid street system), and saw no TC or his wife around. So we sat down on the waiting bench for them, only for a waiter to come up to us, sent over by TC, who had already been seated, and ask if we had been waiting for TC and Laurie. I thought that was relatively funny. In our defense, Liz’s and my height averaged amounts to about a whopping 5’4 and we ultimately were seated on an upper level, in the corner.

Once we were seated, we exchanged hello’s, pleasantries, and bodily fluids’ errrr what? Who said that? Ha, I kid, I kid. Our [hot] waitress came over, and we decided to leave it up to TC to order for us. He managed a few rolls, one of which surrounded a slice of lime with a flame coming from it.

“Whats in this one?”

“I don’t know. I forgot, but its good.”
He sure as shit wasn’t kidding.

Conversation ranged from a bunch of marines getting kicked out of a 5 star hotel in Australia, our dogs, squats, X-vest swat team misunderstandings, to waitresses with skirts so short their asses hung out. Normal dinner conversation, ya know.

The night ended, two or so hours later, with TC and Laurie both insisting to cover the bill as well as the tip. (I told you they were exceedingly generous.) We all walked back to Liz’s mighty steed of a 270k mile pickup truck, for TC to sign my copy of Atomic Dog, after which we said goodbye, and was even extended an invitation to come move to Southern California!

So, again. Thank you very much to Laurie and TC for an awesome dinner, and an even more awesome night. Glad to meet you two, and hopefully I’ll be back.

Today I drove from the SD area to Laguna beach with Liz. Holy shit.

The crap they show you on MTV isnt all that far off. Bentley’s, benzes, porsches and the like can be seen every time you turn your head. The beach was pretty nice, too. The houses on the beach were just stunning. I’ll take the mansion overlooking the ocean, planted right at the top of the cliff. Thanks.

Unfortunately, I left the San Diego area today. While getting a quick bite to eat at quizno’s before our departure, and eating outside, I saw a corvette Z06 pull up. It was then I saw an asian kid, who looked to be no older than 22, park his car, and walk into a shop dedicated to selling soley anime. Only in California.

I also learned that, unlike in NY, and the rest of the country, people drive ten MPH under the speed limit, as opposed to normal human beings glued behind a steering wheel who drive ten over the speed limit. That was part of the explination on why the road trip, that had taken seven and a half hours to get there, took 12 to get back.

Now that I am back in the Sacramento area, it kinda sucks. NorCal doesn’t hold a candle to what SoCal has to offer. Whatever. I’m not complaining- I’m out of NY’s cold ass weather.

I also took some pictures while I was down there. Hopefully I’ll post some, and put the rest on a website and give you guys the link.

Lucky bastard getting to meet TC. Appreciate that.

Nah - TC’s the lucky one. Last time I went for a meal followed by beers with Ryan I ended up shaved head to toe and painted green, tied up with my ass in the air and a large feather sticking out of it in front of his local Walmart just before the sales started.

TC got off lightly.

Believe me, I expressed my strong disbelief to him (“You’re pulling my pisser surely, dad.”)

But he was adamant. He used to be a judge you know. So there’s no fooling him!

/sarcasm.

Wow dude. “You’re pulling my pisser Dad?”

See, this is why Americans think all you limeys are homos
