His predictions sound like neocon wet dreams to me. The kind of things that will make them maximize the pressure for regime change and talk themselves into putting nato boots or tanks or planes into Ukraine. All they are doing is hardening the Russian people’s resolve to rally around Putin, I imagine. Biden talking openly about regime change confirms for them that’s what this was all about, doesn’t it? It was the Great Satan with his bag of tricks all along.

Could you imagine if the military industry, oil industry, Blackrock etc. somehow achieved influence over the elected officials? Why, if they also somehow had a say over what gets published in the media, they could try to influence policy to serve their own narrow interests at the expense of everyone else’s. Good thing that no one has any leverage over Joe Biden. He might suddenly flip-flop on the whole “nato in Ukraine would mean ww3” thing if he wasn’t so incorruptible.

Yeah I’m sure The New York Times suddenly discovering there was something to that story, right around this time with the whole Ukraine conflict going on, is a complete coincidence.
Or you know, a reminder to someone that there are far worse things that can be revealed about Hunter than has been in the news up to now. Whatever it was, old Joe sure had a fire lit under his ass for his speeches in Europe.
I’m betting that Hunter wasn’t the only one who obsessively recorded himself smoking crack and doing any number of various and sundry things with other people of ill repute.

Perhaps, they don’t. I am not psychic. They seem pretty damned determined though, but maybe they have other intensions for all I know. I can only base what I think, on what I see actually happening regarding the few facts we are actually able to know. From what are able to know, Russia has taken a good bit of territory and are focusing on the major cities, it seems. Sure they can occupy all the space between those cities, but you don’t have the country without the capitol and the control of the countries resources and energy.
Since when did they start calling Kiev, “Keev”? That seems weird to me. Maybe that’s what is in Ukrainian, but we don’t typically refer the a countries cities by the name inthe native language. We don’t call Moscow, “Moskova”, or Prague “Praha”.

We send Kamala and it’s a disaster. Joe goes and its a worse disaster. How does this end well for the West? This is beyond a 25th amendment problem. The 2 people behind joe are even worse than he is. Kamala is as stupid as she looks. Pelosi is evil, incompetent and going through her own bout of mental decline. If we survive the next 2.5 years intact, it will be a miracle.

I don’t think what Biden said was all that bad. Just like I don’t think what Lindsey Graham said was that bad. All he needed to do was say “that is the Russian people’s job, not the United States’” to clarify we weren’t going to attempt regime change and move on.
I didn’t see a man with dementia stumbling about in those speeches, for what it’s worth. Seemed fully in control of himself and knowing what he was saying, so I’d assume he’s saying these things on purpose. I don’t know what the strategy is or what personal pressure he might be under. Like the rest of you here, I’m just speculating and talking out my ass. lol
I can see some valid reason for wanting to keep the Russian military bogged down in Ukraine as long as possible (if you ignore the atrocities being committed on its people, which I personally don’t). The worse Russia gets it nose bloodied there, the less likely it is that they will make a play for the Baltics. Looking at the Russians performance, it’s clear that they would be crushed by nato forces. So what if Putin runs a suicide mission into nato territory? Sounds like the Russian state would be under existential threat at that point when nato forces crushes their ground troops. Nukey nukey… So in the long run a case could be made that this proxy war needs to go on until Putin is toppled.
Again, I’m totally speculating here about matters I’m not very knowledgeable about.

Well, it’s happened before, out of the blue. Probably the most shocking thing I have ever witnessed. I never dreamed the USSR would just fall apart and collapse. They were almighty and powerful, up until the moment they were not. Much obliged to Gorbachev for that one. I didn’t see it coming. My father stood front of the TV taking shots of Stolichnaya with tears running down his face as the Soviet flag dipped for the last time. He got hammered.
We don’t really have the ‘inside baseball’ on Russia, so it’s hard to say, but they have China and technically they only need each other to survive. Russia’s got the resources, China has the manufacturing. A relationship from hell.
So it’s possible, not probable I would say.
Well, Putin hasn’t publicly declared what victory will look like for him. I would venture to bet anything short of Oddessa eastward, would be disappointing. I would hazzard the guess that all Ukraine is victory in his eyes. I don’t think he will stop nor can I think of a good reason for him to stop unless the West cut’s him a sweet, sweet deal.
I would stay awake worrying about that possibility. Last ditch effort? MAD.

We got beat by the Taliban and we make up the bulk of NATO, that being said, Russia couldn’t beat a determined NATO on his own, but it would still be a helluva fight. It’s not like Russia has put all its military in Ukraine, he’s got a lot of reserve. I don’t think he would take on NATO on his own. That would be stupid. Putin is many things, I just see no indication that stupid as being one of them.
