Everyone forgets about the homosexuals, the tards, the gypsies, the jehovah’s witnesses, the catholics etcetera, etcetera.
Maybe I’m mordid, but there is something kind of funny about tards being rained down upon with gas shower heads.

This is plain embarrassing to read.
You state that the “only good evidence” I’ve presented is that people will pay to see antiwar movies and nothing more.
I can’t possibly have demonstrated that, because, had you any ability to read nearly every single post I have written here, I showed that:
Antiwar movies continue to flop commercially
And yet, they keep getting made.
I know you think you are “all that and a bag 'o chips”, but you should really read how you come across when not sitting in your mom’s living room chair at that computer.
All you have shown is that Hollywood has made SOME anti-war movies that suck (which does nothing but show that they have bad taste…as if we didn’t know that).
They will continue to have bad taste just like they always have.
Hollywood was in one gigantic slump when it came to getting people into movies until the latest crop of superhero movies saved quite a few jobs. People had quit going for a while considering many of us have home entertainment centers that make it pretty much ridiculous to spend 30-40 bucks at a theater when the dvd costs half of that and you can invite friends over (or at least one really cute one). I know, you WANT there to be some huge conspiracy, but dear Geebus, quit trying so damned hard.
Trying to make Hollywood’s poor taste into a huge liberal conspiracy is just sad…on many levels.
Not a conspiracy, a bias. Different things, said so over and over. Should be easy.
The great irony is that here we have Professor X, who finds “institutional [fill in the blank]” everywhere he goes, in every nook and cranny of society, even without decent evidence. Put some evidence in front of him that actually shows institutional bias (instead of pure conjecture), but doesn’t comport with the outcome he wants, and suddenly Professor X becomes an obstinate, pouting child unable to even handle basic arguments.
The political movies aren’t done in “poor taste”, and it is irrelevant to the point. I saw Lions for Lambs, and I thought it was heavy-handed, subtle as a brick - but not in poor taste. But that isn’t surprising that you take off in yet another direction to explain the films in a way irrelevant to the point - you’re out of ideas.
Yes, I am a keyboard warrior sitting at “mom’s house” pecking away. You can always count on Professor X to show his true colors and expose himself as really nothing more than a proud, immature 12 year old who throws a tantrum when his toys are taken away. Put him on the defensive, and he turns up the bluster to try and compensate for his inability to handle the back and forth.
As far as the “mom’s house” comment, presumably the best Professor X has is trying to offer the insult that I am some dependent loser sponging off the parents with no job. Stay classy, Professor.
I presented an argument as to why Hollywood doesn’t produce movies critical of left-wing movements - and that argument might be right, or it might be wrong, but in this thread, we’ll never explore that and know because Professor X has taken us on his drunk driving tour of bad logic and ego-driven panic. As usual.
Now I am done.
And here is a suggestion for a good documentary on Iraq, Outside the Wire:

You just proved my point. They don’t know they were German. But mention Reinhard Heydrich, Amon Goth, Himmler, Hans Frank and you can bet that they will know that they were German. In America there is a real sense of German=Evil. And why wouldn’t there be? In many, many movies, novels, and video games the bad guys are German. It is drilled into our heads from the time we are young. I’m not saying that there shouldn’t be any movies depicting germans as bad guys. Of course there should be, the Nazi’s were despicable. but it seems like whenever Hollywood needs a good bad guy there is always the old reliable German.
Two generations of Americans spent their youths fighting the Hun, what do you expect?
Actually, most Americans can’t find germany on a map, and think WWII was fought between Benjamin Franklin and Christopher Columbus for the control of Vietnam. If they are smart enought to know who Himmler is, they are smart enough to know who Beethoven is.
From an entertainment point of view, the Nazis were just more interesting. Better flags, better uniforms, cool fucking superweapons like rockets and jet planes, even the German language sounds more sinister. Film producers also tend to imitate what has been successful in the past. Someone makes a movie about the holocaust, it makes a lot of money and wins a lot of awards, then that makes it all the more likely that someone will make a movie about the holocaust in the near future. Even if there were a dozen holocaust movies that were flops, when a producer is making his pitch he will still point to the one or two successful films as examples of the kind of money a holocaust movie can make.
People like to see complex conspiracies, but most decisions are based on profit and a lack of original thinking.
Agreed. Money is the bottom line. Anyone using this occurrence to make it seem like liberals are to blame is just as insane as the far left wackos they seem to despise so much.
Yeah well, I am twice as insane as anyone, I defy you to find anyone half as insane as I believe myself to be.

Is that when you dropped the M in your screen-name in favor of an S?
