Russia Won't Go Away

The ultimate goal is nuclear war? What drugs were you on last night?

It’s all part of “The Game…”

(WAKE UP, H!)

LOL!

So…the Right are suddenly the…pascifist…???..with a Love of Russia???..

Damn surreal what’s happening…damn surreal, I tell you…

Man…I wonder what Ronald Reagan would have to say…

Let me make something clear before this thread goes any further…

In many ways, The “Left” has become as screwed up as the “Right”… as more and more of our Political Discourse is dominated by the extremes…with everyone yelling that they are right (correct)…and the other side is the embodiment of pure evil.

When a foreign nuclear superpower fucked around with the election of the most powerful man on the planet. Pretty cut and dry tbh.

Someone said it upthread, but the fact that we had Democrats voting Yes on the same thing as Tea Party’ers should speak volumes. Volumes and volumes.

Lol who said friend? You don’t need go to war with every unfriendly nation

I thought you were talking about people like me - non traditional people on the right. Traditional conservatives are almost as bad as leftists

Evidence for that is weak

Not if you ask 98 senators. If you’re privy to knowledge they aren’t, feel free to share it.

You’ll have to excuse me if I choose to believe the entire US govt sans oval office over a guy who just copy pastes the public failures of the US IC.

Do politicians constantly lie, support things purely for political purposes, yes or no?

Bullshit.

I’m not asking you to take something I’ve said on faith, I’m giving arguments.

People are treating government as church, and politicians as priests.

Sad!

Sorry, allow me to rephrase. The argument that it’s POSSIBLE Russia didn’t influence the election because the US IC has made mistakes in the past or because it’s POSSIBLE to spoof a trail, doesn’t come close to outweighing the certainty we’ve seen out of Congress, every US acronym agency, and nearly all of the main European ICs.

Not only is it possible, it’s also strange how they’re capable of easily influencing an election but not smart enough to hide their digital footprint.

These are not just reasonable questions, they completely cut through validity of the intel they refuse to release.

Aren’t there random kids who’ve hacked government networks seamlessly? The government has repeatedly shown itself to be grossly incompetent.

Constantly is probably too strong a word. But even if we accept it, politicians on opposite sides of the aisle generally do not ‘lie and support for purely political purposes’ the exact same bill. Thus, the fact that this bill had the support of 98 senators (representing both parties, obviously) does serious damage to your ‘nothing but craven business as usual’ argument.

raj:

You need to look at Frank Luntz latest Town Hall with Trump Supporters. (It’s on-line).

The Wish/Confirmation Bias when it comes to Trump…and all they are willing to overlook with Trump (that would have had Obama hung in effigy)…was quite frankly, chilling…and borders on religious fervor.

A digital footprint is impossible to fully spoof with zero trace unless you’re physically in the location you’re spoofing. If this is contrary to what you’ve read on Breitbart, I hate to be the bearer of bad news.

They don’t cut through the validity. They raise questions. If you’re of the opinion that both parties (including the ones calling the Trump/Russia shit a witch hunt) came to the conclusion that Russia fucked around with our election without asking questions of the professionals, my money is on the “you’re wrong” side.

If they hacked a govt network seamlessly, you wouldn’t know the hack existed. Schrodinger’s hack.

I’ll check it out when I get a chance.

But on the other side Michael Tracy a Young Turks reporter has been covering town halls with democrats across the country. The number one issue repeatedly brought up is about RUSSIA

Politicians are in the business of getting votes, not chasing truth.

lol whut? The CIA has technology that can make a hack look that it came from anywhere.

The first, and most important thing, of developing any type of security software/code, is first reverse engineering it in case it’s used against you. That’s security software 101. Also, with a full govt’s power behind the digging, even the CIA can’t put up a 100% spoof without being in the physical location of where you’re spoofing from.

As a side note, even if a hack was spoofed and it somehow got past dozens of acronym agencies with near unlimited resources, it still means a hack took place. Which means, best case, SOMEONE fucked around with our election. I’d be over the moon if the culprit wasn’t Russia, and was instead someone else, but at the end of the day it had to be someone.
