Russia Won't Go Away

What do you mean? All the senators voted for sanctions except for Rand and Bernie.

That’s exactly the point, dude. Pinning the blame for the “Russia, Russia” hysteria on “Democrats, who have literally gone crazy” is an interesting viewpoint after the GOP-controlled Senate (and nearly all of the GOP senators) voted for sanctions on Russia.

So how exactly have the democrats literally gone crazy? Have they somehow infected the republicans to also want sanctions on Russia? Did they somehow force it?

Edit: I see AG beat me to it.

They like to do this with New York City, too. If only you threw out NYC, New York would be a red state! Too bad you can’t just pretend those citizens don’t exist.

The GOP always wins the popular vote as long as you ignore the people that vote Democrat!

Duh

IALTO from dems.
Again…The result of winning the meaningless popular vote

Seems like the primary goal of several members of the GOP is to sabotage Trumps presidency and undermine their constituency.

The popular vote isn’t meaningless to those of us that favor democracy.

But yeah I agree, apart from democracy the popular vote is pretty meaningless.

Putin approves this.

Republican politicians have been lunatics for quite some time now. But that doesn’t mean the Democrats don’t suck too. Of course there are some good things about Dems when comparing with Republicans. Republican politicians are sellouts and they will always support the neocon agenda to go to war with Iran, Russia, and many more countries. That’s why they support the sanctions; they will use whatever they can as a pretense to do so. Does it look like some Republicans and the right wing media are picking up on the Russia conspiracy narrative? Yes. But these narratives have their origin in the democratic party, who started pushing this hard after HRC’s loss, partly to distract from the corruption and criminality which was revealed by Wikileaks and a way for the Dems to blame Russia for their embarassing loss, rather than having to take personal responsibility. CNN and MSNBC turned into the Russia witch-hunt show. It’s also a way for the Dems to appear like they are resisting Trump, when they actually support many of his policies, particularly when it comes to corporate takeover, attacking civil liberties, and foreign policy. They don’t always want to have to talk about real issues. It’s my Democrat friends who are brainwashed and obsessed with Russia right now. Are Republicans worried about it too? I assumed not, but maybe I’m wrong. I really don’t think a deep state coup against Trump is going to happen–they are just going to force him to support the policies that they want just like the hold they have on Congress. Trump has already broken many of his campaign promises, including the promise to work with Russia to deescalate conflicts. Particularly disgusting is his warmongering against Syria, Russia, Iran and Yemen.

So sitting at the same table as Putin means… what? Why are we so fearful of Putin?

Or because Russia got caught fucking around with the election of the most powerful man on the planet.

Because he fucked around with our election. How is it still a question why America shouldn’t mess around with Putin.

How do you end up sitting on the same table with Putin?

Sure, could be. It’s possible. IMHO policy-wise Trump and the Republicans seem to be pretty much in line. I don’t think Republicans support impeaching Trump. I think they supported those sanctions because they want to push for more war and regime change in the Middle East, just as Trump does as he has shown us with his bombing campaigns and weapons deal to the Saudis.

Can we talk about actual policies? Are you saying we should never talk to foreign leaders that we don’t like? How are we supposed to resolve conflicts such as the conflict in Syria without talking to the Russians? When did she advocate for bringing Putin’s policies to the US?

Here’s what Jill’s response is:
NBC recently reported that I had been at an event in Russia along with Vladimir Putin in 2015. Notice that whenever you see this story in the corporate media, it consists of nothing more than a photo, because if they reported any of the facts behind the photo it would undermine the story they are trying to invent.

In reality, the NBC report didn’t say anything that wasn’t in my campaign’s press release about the Moscow event in December 2015. My trip to Russia, like my visit to the COP21 climate conference in Paris as part of the same trip, was about promoting diplomacy, peace, and international cooperation on pressing global issues. I criticized the militaristic policies of both the Russian and US governments, and proposed an alternative vision: working together on a “Peace Offensive” to de-escalate conflict in the Middle East and around the world.

I was one of a number of American advocates for a more peaceful and just foreign policy in Moscow, including Thom Hartmann, Rocky Anderson, Ray McGovern, Max Blumenthal, and Jesse Ventura.

The Moscow conference featured public figures, politicians and academics from across Europe and North America, as well as journalists and major media leadership from India, China, Russia, Europe and the US. It was an honor to be able to address the international community, and show them we Greens are fighting for a foreign policy based on international law. human rights and diplomacy, not on economic and military domination.

It is not only justifiable to attempt to communicate with other nations, it’s essential to do so if we are to have any hope of solving the gravest threats to human survival: endless war, climate meltdown and the threat of nuclear conflict. The Greens are the only political party with a plan to address all these issues. No wonder we are under attack by both Democrats and Republicans, and their surrogates in the corporate media, even outside the election cycle.

NBC and other corporate media outlets have tried to create the impression that I refuse to answer questions about my Russia trip. Actually, I have answered these questions so many times I’ve lost count, but when the corporate media realize that the answers don’t support their pre-conceived smear narrative, they refuse to print the facts. No, I did not speak with Vladimir Putin. Nor did I receive any payment from Russia. Why has one reporter after another, after hearing these facts, decided not to publish them? Why do they choose instead to encourage sensational conspiracy thinking based on a photo?

This transparent campaign of neo-McCarthyism perfectly demonstrates why Americans’ trust in mass media has plummeted to an all-time low.

This is just the latest in a long line of smear campaigns from the corporate media. For a look at the many desperate attempts to discredit our grassroots movement, check out our “Haters Gonna Hate” page debunking the smears.

It’s time to withdraw our trust and support from these masters of misinformation, and put our resources towards building independent, non-corporate people’s media to provide the truthful information we need to create the future we deserve.

Meanwhile, the fact that Democratic apologists are attacking us outside of an electoral campaign is a great sign. We have become a force to contend with and they are rightly worried. The American people are clamoring for a new way forward and together, we’re creating a future whose time has come, that puts people, planet and peace over profit.

That was from 2015. Also, there is no evidence that Russia interfered with the elections. It is all allegations.

So the entire US intel community and nearly all of the EU intel community came to the conclusion that Russia messed around with our election with zero evidence.

Guess that’s that guys. Half the world’s intel agencies got this one wrong, this guy on tnation knows whats up.

Once again - how do you end up sitting at the table with Vladimir Putin at a RT gala dinner?

By chance? Or using the “I’m sorry is this seat taken?” line?
