I’ve heard several versions of that saying through out the years.
It makes sense. Kind of like “Don’t Do That.”, but look at who we’re dealing with.
The other one that keeps coming to mind, and I can’t remember where it came from is “Its not the lie that gets you. Its the cover up.”.

I think the Trump team can simultaneously have a Russian issue AND the Jeff Session’s issue can be a plate of fried air. The DNC hacks alone warrant a full and substantial investigation and the cyber-security apparatus for all political institutions in the US should be thoroughly vetted and plugged.
That said, I think it was appropriate for Session’s to recuse himself on concerns of his impartiality, I think it would be jumping the gun to malicious actions/ intent on the basis of this story.
NB. I quite like Jeff, so take my defence with the grain of salt you reserve for fans.

Raj is having trouble wrapping his head around the whole “lying under oath” thing.
Imo we should cut him some slack. If he’d been in Congress for ~20 years and personally sat through dozens of these hearings I’d expect him to know better.
