Russia Won't Go Away

And even if there is nothing there on a Trump-Russia connection, Trump fears Comey precisely because of this independence and integrity, and so he’s got to go. Comey can and will bring down a politician, regardless of party. If Comey is willing to do this hard on the Russia issue, he’ll dig just as hard on future issues. That’s disqualifying in Trump sycophant world.

Any plans of cutting out CNN now that you know they are owned by donors to the Clinton campaign?

From a behavioral standpoint this is what Trump supporters wanted. A guy who goes on the offensive and not a mewling apologetic beta male

Crying on Twitter is Alpha male behavior, fucking lol.

Commemorating the Holocaust 3 times in a handful of months as president and denouncing the myth of anti semitism (as a real problem) to appeal to the donor class is beta behavior

Well, God knows you’re qualified to be an authority on what amounts to beta behavior.

Silver lining. At least he started the wall process and didn’t shit the bed with healthcare.

Sure, if you think that’s a good idea.

That remains to be seen.

Sorry I forgot the /sarcasm at the end.

The wall is for mouth breathers and his healthcare is adorable.

Lol, gotcha.

That’s a long time for him. Maybe he’s learning…nah.

Either one big wall or a million smaller ones.

Gated communities, bars on Windows, fast food restaurants with the servers behind bullet proof windows etc.

In the news today are Republican Senators Sasse, Burr, Lankford, Flake, Corker, and McCain expressing worry over the Comey firing. They must be HATERZ is all.

Bill Kristol makes a good point:

The Rosenstein memo is dated…today. So there was no real recommendation from DOJ. Trump wanted to do it, and they created a paper trail.

One other thing to note - the rationale in the memo to fire Comey relies on complaints made by (primarily) Democrats about the handling of the investigation of Hillary. A weird reason for Trump to fire Comey at this time (long after the trangression had taken place and after Comey survived the transition) and to find agreement with Democrats, except…

…no it isn’t. It’s a transparent Trumpian tactic. When he wants to do something controversial, he drapes it in Democratic-inspired clothing thinking it helps avoid criticism.

It isn’t the first time - recall his initial immigration EO banning Muslims, etc. It only applied to those countries that Obama’s administration identified on a list as being problematic, even though that finite list and limiting the ban to that narrow group of countries made no sense in terms of what Trump’s EO was purported to accomplish. That’s because they intentionally drafted it that way so that they could point to the Democrats and say “hey, they think this just as much as we do” as political cover.

Same with the memo - cite the objections Democrats had to Comey as political cover, even though those objections are stale and irrelevant to the current situation.

Our country deserves better than this nonsense.
