So fucked… Feds don’t arrest you unless you are going to prison.
But no one said it wouldn’t be a soft “prison” for white collar people.

Talk is Papadopoulos wore a wire for Mueller for three months. This is getting interesting.
Yeah, I saw a talking head a bit ago saying that anyone in the Trump orbit is frantically trying to remember any contact they might have had with Papadopoulos between late July and now.
From The Guardian:

That’s George in the middle, on the left. That fat orange thing on the far right (lol) is our president.
Twitter Inc (TWTR.N) separately has found 2,752 accounts linked to Russian operatives, a source familiar with the company’s written testimony said. That estimate is up from a tally of 201 accounts that Twitter reported in September.
As I saw a bit ago on Twitter: “It’s the 17 best prosecutors in America versus guys that tried to collude with Russia using Facebook Messenger. Place your bets.”
I saw that yesterday. 126 million, that’s insane. That’s 40 fucking percent of the population.
Still don’t see this taking down Trump yet. Anything that isn’t a slam dunk directly on him can be pretty well explained away. Throw in HRC having the dirty laundry and the what about Clinton defense isn’t that bad in the eyes of the public. It’s a horrible argument intellectually as I believe we even tell little kids two wrongs don’t make a right.
Trump is really good at getting things to bounce off him. He might be the best politician ever at it and that isn’t a joke. He says and does crazy things so often people forget about it almost immediately. I can see some of this stuff coming out, him saying Hilary a few times and then him tweeting something crazy and inappropriate and everyone talking about that instead. This gets forgotten or moved on from just like his horrific remarks about John McCain, gold star families, and everything else. “Hey at least he isn’t PC. He talks like a real American! He comments on reality TV just like I do!”
Trump is essentially a little kid politician in behavior but he has mastered the art of getting people to talk about something different than the current bad thing everyone wants to talk about. Yes he usually substitutes that with something else bad.
For some inexplicable reason, Manafort’s arrest is covered live non-stop on Russian State TV with all (quasi) private channels following suit.
Putin’s press secretary casually opined on the show that the “fake FBI investigation” was sped up due to Manafort’s “very serious health issues” (?) which may “hasten his demise”.
What, they couldn’t get a severed horse head to DC in time?
EDIT: They’ve called Papadopulous a “pathetic little snitch” and are now playing a clip of Alex Jones pledging alliance to Putin, while the hosts exasperatedly exclaim that Jones’ behavior only damages Trump.
If Bill Maher a stoner comedian could put it together months ago… Imagine what the best investigator in USA has done… Good news is Prison is a great place to get and shape and read… 2 things none of these flabby waspy turds ever did…
njoy Haha
There is literally nothing there to yet.
the sad part is, it shouldn’t be a defense of trump, but rather she should get heat for any wrongs she was involved in. And it doesn’t look like her name should be all that clean right now re: russia either.
I mean, people can talk about two things at once. (I know that’s not what you’re saying.)
One of their boys is about to go to prison, and likely sing like a bird… Which will bring down more of there guys?
It makes America look bad?
I mean, I know you’re being a wiseass here, but there are plenty of selfish reasons to do so.
Agreed beans. I mean the Russia thing is probably going to have to hit him pretty square. A lot of people around him can go down and he will probably be fine. As fine as you can be with approval ratings already in the toilet. His diehards won’t change on anything short of Trump giving Putin a handjob or something. And even then they may say “Well Obama bowed and apologized Trump is not afraid to get his hand dirty!”
Reminds me of that movie where the teacher says “you must use drugs because everyone close to you does.” Yeah…but I don’t! smirks the kid.
I have so little faith in polls right now. Sure do some confirm my bias and do I like to throw those around? yes. But honestly, since 2012 I’m starting to lose faith hard.
Shit when Silver puts trump at 30% odds, and then he goes on to flip places like Wisconsin… I’m not so sure I should be hedging my bets with the polls that confirm my bias too.
I’m not saying it’s definitely wrong, but even if right, it doesn’t necessarily mean what people want it to mean. I believe Obama’s was pretty high for a lame duck and still the dems took a beating in 2016… So who the hell knows.
Until/unless he starts handing out pardons like Halloween candy.
Its never gonna be over ED… Statute of limitations on treason is like murder…it dont expire. If Dems or anti Russia rebs take over next presidency we could see the sequel… Orange is the new orange…ahh something about seeing Kush & Jr be DaQuon & Jamaals plaything gives me a sense of patriotism
This is…well, expected. Frequent travels to Cyprus, the country in which every self-respecting Russian oligarch/spook keeps a significant part of their assets.
Cypriot banks are the main point of entry for dirty Russian money into the EU and later US banking systems. They’re also one of the more notorious money laundromats.
Also, other destinations these guys visited were on a “top 10 places where Russians keep their dirty money”
http://edition.cnn.com/2017/10/31/politics/manafort-3-passports/index.html
Manafort currently has three US passports, each under a different number. He has submitted 10 passport applications in roughly as many years, prosecutors said.
This year, Manafort traveled to Mexico, China and Ecuador with a phone and email account registered under a fake name. (The name was not disclosed in the filings.)
Over the past year, Manafort traveled to Dubai, Cancun, Panama City, Havana, Shanghai, Madrid, Tokyo and Grand Cayman Island.
Both Manafort and Gates were frequent travelers to Cyprus. “Extensive travel of this nature further evidences a risk of flight,” the prosecutor’s filing said.
If mueller indicts kushner or moron jr, Donnie will want to make a deal.
I can see the little faith in polls for sure. Trumps win was unlikely according to Silver’s model but certainly not impossible. 30% is not 0% and as a guy who loves to play poker I can tell you I’m losing that 70-30 advantage sometimes for sure. HRC was a historically awful candidate in terms of her own popularity.
I don’t know what you’d have to look at though to think Trump is popular right now. Every RCP metric which is about 25 different polls say the same exact thing. Even the ones like Ras and Fox which people say slant right are big time in the unpopular range.
One could argue Trump doesn’t have big disapproval ratings but I have no idea what evidence they would point to statistically
Here is the problem I am having with these stats/Polls, H (and I really would like your thoughts).
We know how dramatically wrong they were with the past election.
One HUGE problem I see is that being UNPOPULAR does not automatically make the other side POPULAR. In other words; the DEMS are not lighting up the Voters.
Being “Anti- (fill-in-the-blanks)” doesn’t inspire anyone.
If there is one thing Trump can do; it’s to continue to fire-up a Loyal Base. (Even President Obama was not able to do that, as many of the “Loyal” followers of his first election eventually fell away).
Trump’s base may make me puke with all their “What-about-ism” and acceptance of things from Trump that they would be having an aneurysm about if it was President Obama, (as they declared the end of Western Civilization)…but their needle isn’t budging in their Boot Licking of Trump.
(I don’t even think a “Pee-peeTape” could budge these people…sorry, @thehebrewhero…!)
I could be wrong…but as things stand now…I see eight years of Trump.
