You are a sad, misguided human being. I cannot believe you wished cancer on someone else – and then, afterward, tried to deny the “hatred” accusation from Mage. The mere fact that you can take those two positions in the same post astounds me.
You are partly correct about the 1st Amendment aspect, even if it is inadvertant. There is no 1st Amendment problem with the Rush situation, because the government took no action to restrict speech. This is a private matter, and the critics are responding as private citizens – just as was the case with the Dixie Chicks. The 1st Amendment does not restrict private, viewpoint-based discrimination. The 1st Amendment does not stand for the proposition that you cannot suffer any consequences for having political opinions – it merely stands for the proposition that the government will not act to restrict your speech.
There is no point in further attempting to discuss this subject with you. If you were intelligent enough to understand the facially obvious logical flaws in your position concerning rascism, you still wouldn’t let yourself acknowledge them due to deeply held vitriol and the bile in your soul. I will leave you to fester in your own poison, wishing cancer and blight upon your enemies, and will not respond further to any of your posts.
Questioning the media for giving McNabb more credit than he deserves because he is black is legitimate! Again, its Rush questioning if the media is giving someone a free ride because they are black.
What if they are giving McNabb a free ride because he is black? Some on this board say he is a good quarterback, others have said the defense carried him. This is a legitimate debatable point. However, nothing gets debated in a society where we are afraid to speak lest we loose our job, and status.
I have stated it before, if we are not allowed to even discuss these things how does it ever get resolved? We end up living in fear. Afraid to speak our true opinions and make personal obsrvations.
Lumpy: Was I attacking you? Oh hell yeah. If you read anything by me I never attack people, just give a little crap here and there.
But your comments have proven your hate.
You repeatedly lie, yes I said lie. You twist people’s words to mean things they never said.
Sorry if you don’t understand this, but you are a Nazi.
I don’t give a fuck if you like Rush or not. I don’t care if you like anybody. But making the statement you made, just because you disagree with a person’s political beliefs, is vile, and disgusting.
Wishing a person would actually get cancer and then saying you are not a product of hate is ludicrous.
You are no different then the KKK, or the Neo-Nazi’s.
I come here to discuss issues. I believe most people have their beliefs because it is the best for people, and results in the best benefits. Regardless of whether they are conservative or liberal.
I no longer believe this about you. You are a blind, ignorant idiot. You don’t have the slightest idea what the issues are, you only hate people who don’t fit your view of what people should be like. This is bigotry.
You act as though you are against bigotry, and yet you are the biggest bigot there is.
You’re right, there is nothing funny about Rush getting face cancer…
LOL, sorry, yes there is…
I agree that there needs to be serious discussions about race, but I don’t think for a second that Rush Limbaugh is going to be participating in a meaningful discussion on race, any more than Howard Stern would be.
Howard Stern, Rush Limbaugh, Jerry Springer… These guys are all assclowns in the same general category, and don’t have any credibility on serious issues.
I think Rush figured out last week that he’s considered too much of a wacko to make it in the mainstream.
And just in case you forgot, the guy quit on his own accord. He folded like a house of cards rather than face up to the music.
Lumpy: “If you don’t understand there is a significant difference between calling someone a “cracker” and calling someone a “nigger” than you are not too bright.”
As was previously noted, words only mean so much as a person is willing to make them mean. This being granted, to condemn someone just for speaking a word, without taking it in context, establishes a dangerous precedent.
So tell me, what is the difference between calling someone a ‘cracker’ vs calling someone a ‘nigger’? The fact that one is a derogatory term used to denote a white person and the other, a black person?
A black friend of mine once told me that I should use the word ‘nigger’ freely around him, so long as I used it correctly. When asked what the ‘correct’ usage of ‘nigger’ was he responded: “A nigger is a black dude who gets high before going to work at a minimum-wage job, then goes home to drink, smoke crack and beat his wife, all the while blaming all of his life’s problems on the ‘Man’ holding him back; in other words, a ‘nigger’ is just ‘white trash’ without the white.”
The difference is that white people do not have a long history of oppression like black people have had, in America. Blacks were slaves for 200 years, in America, and only had their civil rights granted about 40 years ago. There are blacks still alive who lived through slavery and segregation (Jim Crow).
So the “n-word” has a painful history behind it, that the word “cracker” does not have.
Again, I think that race is an important issue, and there is a lot of work to do in race relations, but it is ridiculous to think that Rush will be one of the people who can lead the discussion, any more than thinking that Jerry Springer or Howard Stern would lead the discussion.
Lumpy, you don’t want a serious discussion on race. I have tried repeatedly to have intelligent discussions with you but now realize that is impossible.
You know nothing, and understand nothing.
MANTRA - LUMPY IS A MORON
Notorious: I have heard a hundred different meanings of that word. (Sorry, but I will be politically correct at this time.) One person said it is ok as long as it is followed with an “a” at the end instead of an r, and others have said only blacks are allowed to use the word. Personally the term “sticks and stones” comes to mind.
If the term is wrong, it should never be used by anyone. If it is allowed then anybody should be able to use it. Stating otherwise means that the person does not actually believe in true equality.
I once heard of a story about a Zen master being tested by a person who didn’t believe in his resolves. This person began calling the Zen master every name he could come up with. After over an hour of this he realized that the Zen master never reacted once to his verbal attacks.
When he asked, “Why don’t my attacks bother your?”
The Zen Master responded, “If you gave me a gift and I refused it, who does the gift belong to?”
(Very paraphrased as I heard this a couple of years ago.)

Dude, you show me one person alive when slavery was legal, and i will give you $100 crisp. Dude, nobody alive in the early to mid 1800s is alive anymore, just do the math…
And i never owned a slave, was never part of anything concerning oppression of blacks. Why is it an issue? Why should i be held accountable for things that happened before i even existed on this planet?
DA MAN: You don’t actually expect an honest answer from Lumpy do you? He’ll probably say that slavery was legal until Clinton was elected. Or that there is slavery still in other countries, even though his statements were about African-AMERICANS.
Then again he might call you a bigot for suggesting that a black man can’t live for 150 years.
Ever heard of Jim Crow? Any idea what a lynching is?
Do you dorks even really KNOW a single black person?
Sure, lets have Rush Limbaugh lead a discussion of race relations.
Then, we’ll have Howard Stern moderate a discussion on world peace. After that, Jerry Springer will host a discussion about marriage.
If Rush felt so strongly that he was right, he wouldn’t have backed down. Instead, he QUIT rather than face the music. He ran off in tears, like a little girl.
There you go again, making up shit. Anyone familiar with how the media works knows he was asked to step down. Then here you are twisting anything that happens to fit your brainwashed fantasy world.
personally, i do not like that fat pompus bastard, but i find no reason to call his comments racist!
i am a huge boxing fan, and if i had a quarter for every time i heard a commentator(black and white) call a WHITE boxer “overhyped” because of the color of his skin, i would be rich.
race is an issue which hits home with me.
as a product of an interracial marriage(white/hispanic) and married to a black woman, i have face racism on BOTH sides of the fence so to speak. political correctness is so skewed AGAINST the perceived “white mainstream” that if you are not a person of color, you have to watch every single work you say, for fear of a public lynching!!!
if you are black or hispanic or whatever, you can say pretty much whatever you want. for example, i had NEVER heard the “N-word” more than when i had my black in-laws over for thanksgiving! lol!
