I will admit that I wrote Santorum off early and didn’t look into him at all until recently. (As I’m not voting in the Republican primaries, why bother with someone who I thought didn’t have a chance, I guess I was wrong.)
The more I know, the less I like.

I do not think he can win the Republican nomination let alone Presidency. I do not understand why Romney just does not point out the Religious Zealotry that he is portraying ?
Because in doing that Romney would alienate a good portion of the conservative primary voters that he’s trying to win. Remember primaries are all about extremes. Dems lean way left, republicans far right. Santorum is actually doing well because HE IS conservative on social issues (religin etc).If you really want to see some fun stuff keep watching. Should Santorum pull off a minor miracle and beat Romney for the nomination Obama and the MSLM will be doing exactly what you suggest Romney do now. But they will do it at the right time abd Santorum will look like Jerry Falwell’s incarnate.
It won’t be pretty for those of us who want Obama to go into retirement. For those of you who want Obama reelected you’ll be loving it.

The media doesn’t have to do anything to disparage Santorum other than give him a microphone and let him talk.

Make sure to tell all your liberal friends in open primary states to vote for him, then.

Trying to get the liberals to vote for him in open primary states is an interesting strategy that Santorum has employed.

It’s a win-win. We soc-cons get to see him as the nominee, and you folks get the guy you’re certain Obama can beat.

I think that he will beat Romney too, so long as things are as they are now. But, I would rather see Romeny on the campaign trail than Santorum. I think it would be more interesting.

Please name 1 law for me that isn’t based on a moral tennent
Looks like Romney pulls off the two wins he was supposed to have. On to Super Tuesday.
And in case you haven’t heard in the 70’s and even into the 80’s the press was far more balanced. They only tipped left then but were not at all obvious about it. They gradually became more biased in the 90’s. And when Obama hit the scene the age of even trying to pretend to be fair was over. They now live right under Obama’s ass cheeks.
Wake up junior!
Super Tuesday states:
Alaska, Georgia, Idaho, North Dakota, Ohio, Massachusetts, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Vermont and Virginia.
After tonight’s double win (if Romeny hangs on to the 4 pt. lead in Michigan) He should take at least 5 or 6 of the above states. With the other four split between Gingrich and Santorum.
And that should pretty much be that. This is good news for republicans as we will have Romney as the party’s nominee. Which gives us at least a fighting chance of retaking the White House.
I think that Santorum’s surge has officially fizzeled and Romeny won’t have much of a fight come super Tuesday.
Unless it’s Ron Paul’s turn?
LOL

Romney was supposed to win these two. It would have been flat out devastating had he lost Michigan. Santorum still ended up with a strong showing in Romney’s home state. This isn’t close to being over. Romney had to dump money to hold onto his home state.

Well, part of the reason he had a surge was that people didn’t know anything about him because he wasn’t taken seriously in the beginning. Once people started to take him seriously, others joined the bandwagon (cause anyone but Romney, right)… until someone in the mean liberal mainstream media gave him a microphone. They jumped ship and decided that maybe Romney isn’t so bad.

Santorum is going to end 3-4% down in Romney’s homestate…Romney had to dump money into his home state to hold onto it. That isn’t jumping ship.

The fight will continue, but Romney will end of the winner. He will continue to outspend and the more people know about Santorum, the less they like him.

True. I don’t think he’ll beat Obama.
How many independents see Santourm favorably?
