My father recently passed away from pancreatic cancer. Cancer does not run in our family at all so he likely developed his cancer from Remicade infusions he was taking to treat his rheumatoid arthritis. After he would take an infusion of Remicade he was sick for at least 2 days afterwards. He found that using a vaporizer for marijuana not only helped ease his nausea from the Remicade infusions, but also helped overall with his rheumatoid arthritis as a whole. As he was dying he continued to use marijuana to help with nausea and pain. That’s my peer reviewed study.
Your dad should have been locked in a cage, after a DEA team armed with AK’s kicked in his door and shot his dog. But I’m all for small govt.

Edit: While it’s fun to call Big Gov Zeb on his B.S. BeefEater I hope my comment isn’t taken the wrong way. Sorry for your loss, glad your dad could get some comfort.
I have followed the thread so I am aware of where you stand on the subject. Your comment was not taken the wrong way. Sadly enough he was cited for possession and had to go to court/pay a fine not long before he died.

That is fucking rediculous

The video at the end is about Portugal and it’s decriminalization program

The only problem I see with the article is that it mentions how much money the government could make by taxing it. If using marijuana was legal or decriminalized, the government would still treat people who grow it like criminals so they could tax the shit out of it when it’s purchased at the clinic, convenience store, etc. Our ever-expanding government would still spend way too much of our money enforcing growing your own and giving it to your friends.

I am sorry for your loss and sorry for the bull shit the legal system put your father through during an extremely difficult time. I am glad the marijuana was of some assistance to him, though!

A bit of misinformation here about Marijuana. On another thread I gave links to UCLA study by researcher Dr. Tashkin which was the follow up of the 1983 study from the CDC.

If anyone who is against medical marijuana really cares about facts, these should be checked out by you.

I’ll outright admit I smoke pot. I’m a vet, the only real injuries I have are from wear and tear put on me by the military. For a long time I was a cardio junky, things like boots and utes (running around in combat boots and utility uniform) and doing things like (humps) with significant weight in my alice pack have worn my knees some. I suffer from constant dull pain (arthritis) and I cant run significant distances anymore (any more than say 2 miles) without my knees flaring up and actually swelling.

Here’s the thing, I both enjoy pot, and use it as a treatment for pain. I’m not some crazy hippy, I did my time in the Marine Corps, I served proudly, am proud of my duty and I lost my share of friends and peers in combat. Pot doesn’t hurt people, it should be a recreational drug just as alcohol, and I can argue all day that it is less dangerous than alcohol because it is, but that isn’t the point. The point is that we shouldn’t be in the business of controlling peoples lives that aren’t hurting anyone. The only illegal thing about pot is that it is illegal itself and for no good reason.

I get it, not everyone enjoys it. That’s alright, but it shouldn’t be your decision to tell me what I can and cant do when it comes to things that are harmless.

This ^ X 1,000,000

Where’s the compalints about the current chump in the WHite House when he says he won’t legalize the mary jane? Everyone swooned when he slow jammed the news but no chastising when he was asked by a pot head if weed will be legalized. Double standard much boys

Just a quick edit I don’t care what anyone does in their life so long at it doesn’t affect me or hurt children so if someone wants to smoke dope go for it, my father is a junkie with three brain cells left from smoking for so long if that’s what people want it will make it easier for me to take over the world

This whole thread is reminding me of How to Win Friends and Influence People by Dale Carnegie.

Well. Internet arguing in general does.

It is the main reason I will not vote Obama , I do think the majority of that problem would be eliminated if he fired Eric Holder

I totally agree

Legalizing weed seems like a no-brainer, increased taxable revenue for the government, decreased violence from the drug war, it is a fine recreational drug (better/safer than booze or cigarettes) and of course less of a strain on the prison system.

It goes without saying that weed has some handy “off-label” uses it is better and less addictive for pain management than the hydro/oxy/fentanyl drugs the pharma industry pushes now, it improves appetite in cancer and AIDS patients, lessens tremors in Parkinsons folks the list goes on and on, banning it is a waste of time and energy (not to mention money and lives). For the record I don’t smoke weed, mainly because it isn’t worth the legal hassle, but I support those who do.

I think the biggest obstacle is all the people that have never smoked weed and have believed all the propaganda that ou Government has launched against it. Zeb is prime example , never smoked it but is an expert
