I’d pay good money to see a dead person meet a fictional one.

An imaginary fictional one, no less.

I didn’t think crude was the issue, the problem was a lack of refineries.
Domestic refineries can only handle ‘sweet’ oil.
Not only do we need more refineries but we need refineries that can process the darker, stinkier oil which is cheaper and more plentiful.
Conservation will happen on way or another.
The Limosine Libs at the Sierra Club have managed to make it nearly impossible to build a refinery here. We will have pristine skies and trout in our rivers (which they want) but everyone will ride a bike and planes/boats/cars will be reserved for those elites, which is one of the main reasons for environmentalism anyway.
The anti-industrial revolution continues…

The fact is no one wants a refinery in their “back yard”.
Find me a true conservative that wants to sacrifice their property value for lower fuel prices and I will show you a cold day in hell.
Gas is still cheap compared to the rest of the world.
The lack of refineries has nothing to do with modern day Luddites.

Supply - Demand.
Those shouting “greed” each time the prices rice just doesen’t understand how the market works. [/quote]
And those rationalizing that the current price of gas is the way it is because of supply and demand don’t understand what collusion is.
Will everybody on this frickin thread go and get a life instead of sittin around bitchin about the price of gas. Jez!
