Time under tension is good i guess then especially since deadstop doesnt have much
Its sounding like touch and go is winning in my favour
Thats a good idea. For now im just learning deadlift form and doing dead stop
I prefer to deadstop. I find touch n go easier as I can use the bounce to bring the bar back up. If you are working on form I would stay with dead stop too.
Yeah I’ll definitely stay with dead stop for a while until my forms better then try touch and go for a bit
@danteism what do you do with dextrose? I bought a kilo of dextrose because i saw it at big w for $8 lol and I’ve seen it mentioned a few times so i donno
You can use dextrose in your intra or post workout drink in small quantities. (30-40g per liter of water) If you use too much it’ll start sitting in your stomach and that’s not something you want to happen during a high-intensity session.
Wouldn’t use it before training though, as it spikes your blood sugar really quickly you’ll end up crashing unless you have intra-workout carbs as well.
I’ll try it during my next session
That sounds trash. Definitely wont use it in preworkout
Todays training
warmup
Facepulls,machine rows 3×20
Lazy lifter
SSB Squat
First time using so felt pretty weird
60kg 5 sets of 3 just technique work real easy. Had bar to high on traps so hurt traps. Form tips/Hows form on these??
Yoke
Like 8 sets of 15 metres. Breathing sucks balls as usual, as soon as i try exhale and take small breaths i lose all my brace. Some sets yoke would almost be sliding off some too high. Need to find Best position on upper back. Felt better to have arms holding on to sides then to have in back squat position. Otherwise pretty good for first time using. Felt really weird though
atlas stones
Bad. Struggle with form on these. Bunch of reps×1 with 50kg stone. Easy af though.

Ghr’s
Couldnt do glute ham raises so did leg curls
40kg×10
×10

Dropset
10 reps
Drop weight by 5kg
10 reps
Drop weight again
10 reps
Yeah when I started it felt like sets of 5 were going to tear my hamstrings. That being said, building up from 5’s didn’t take too long.
GHR’s hurt ![]()
I could do like 2 reps lol. How did you build the strength to do 5 Before doing ghr
5 was what I could do first try so there’s not too much advice I can give tbh. Before GHR’s I did do lots and lots of Nordics though, so maybe give those a go.
If you’ve never tried or heard about them:
Thanks man! I’ll try these
I can’t remember if it was covered in the video, but reps for these (for me) were no more than 6 and I’d usually go for 3 sets
Alright I’ll do 3 sets. I dont know if I’ll be able to get 6. Hopefully tho
In all fairness, as these are eccentric only you can usually crank out more than you expect, so I’d just cut the set off when I can’t do a 3 second eccentric
Alright. Btw is school done for you? Over in WA year 12’s are finished now
Nah I’ve got a little less than two months left, but I’m on mid-semester break for another two weeks
Damn. I’ve got one month left this year
I’m on two week break as well. After next month of school i have three months off till next year ![]()

You can do an eccentric on Nordic Hams. Do a push up off the ground and finish with your hamstrings.
And how are you doing GHRs? I’ve only done them in one phase of training because none of the gyms have the right piece of equipment. Everyone has the 45 degree back extension instead of the horizontal one with the big roller pads.
The way I learned to do the GHR’s was pretty much a back extension finished with a leg curl. The padding was closer to my knees than my hips. The finish was assisted by a very explosive back/hip extension movement.
@j4gga2, I like the new Avatar. That old one was creepy as hell! Do you guys do year round school there?
