If you wanna put C.O.C in your head as well as grip it hard. Who are we to judge !!!
@FlatsFarmer a little birdie Aka forum searching tells me that you were an all things grip dude for a while. Did you ever close the no.3?
just wait till you start your bulk, what i eat will pale in comparison.
Captain of Crush work
1x10 warmup with the trainer
1x5 with the no.1
1x9 PR
some mucking around with upside down gripper closes.
i also did a workout on sunday but forgot to log. my elbows are getting cranky from my current gripper workout and it’s getting a little stale so i’m changing it up a bit with less volume and more frequency. something i’ve been reading and i’ve picked up some cool info from what @FlatsFarmer posted. i’ve proobably been doing to much sets from what i’ve observed/read.
the trend seems to be if i do a tonne of volume/ accumulate alot of fatigue in the forearms it takes longer to recover but when i finally do i come back sronger and set PR’s, except it annoys my elbows. so less volume more frequency for now.
Also, my fat gripz. plate loading pin and ironmind wrist roller should arrive soon.
I got certified in 2001, back when I had a strong grip. But then I slacked off a long time. I tried a little come-back a few years ago but it sucked.
I remember being over 100 kilos, had to eat 7000+ Calories every day to gain any weight. How I got to 110 kilos, man, I don’t know. That was like 2.5 years ago, this time I’ll shoot for 120kgs
thanks dude. Ill check it out!
Props dude. That’s a helluva accomplishment. The 3 is a beast.
Awesome that you got certified!!
damn. 120kg is going to need a lot of calories
no worries man, It’ll be worth your investment.
10K would not surprise me.
Why do you think I work so much?
To pay for bulking of course!
Thanks guys. I hope both of you guys get the #3, too. I need to get the grippers back out.
What are your strength goals? If you’re going to be shovelling down that much calories, might as well aim for a bunch of heavy as f*** lifts.
I don’t have anything spesific in mind yet, as I haven’t even decided on what I’m gonna do program-wise, but if I got to the point where I could rep the top 10% of DBs in any gym for DB Bench and the whole stack on most assistance exercises for 12-15 reps that would be cool.
4 plate CGB and 3.5 plate incline would be pretty neat too, the latter will be one hell of a task to accomplish
Also, being able to do weighted pull ups for reps is something I want to be able to do at every weight.
Something crazy i’d presume lol
That will be awesome. What about three plate strict press as well? ![]()
I think you should be able to remain good at pullups especially when bulking. If you start sucking you’re probably just getting fat ![]()
My strict press is always around 90% of my incline and 75% of my flat, so that shouldn’t be a problem by then ![]()
In proportion I’m strongest on overhead stuff, followed by flat and incline is my worst angle. If I got to a 3.5 plate incline I’d have around 4.5 plate flat bench and a bit over 3 plate strict press
That’d be fun
Very true, and given that I’m doing weighted pull ups with fat grips at the moment I’d be surprised if I couldn’t do pull ups at a heavier bodyweight
How far are you taking your weight? A hundred kilos?
3 plate strict press will be insane!
You’re grip strength is pretty darn good. Its No surprise that you closed the No.2 captains of crush without even touching a gripper prior.
Yeah 100kg.if i end up getting too fat il reasses and probably not continue higher and il do a recomp. I mean its hard for me to get too fat at this point. (Im not lean, just not fat) We’ll see what happens though, i’ve never tried such a tremendous weight gain. Last year before i got kicked out of my aunties i stalled at 82-83kg whilst lifting and stuffing my face.
I eat everything in sight and im not even lifting at the moment just sports and MMA. My weight got to 85 and its stayed there for a while now.
I havent researched it but im pretty sure since im a growing kid and my metabolisms pretty good, and since ive always eaten alot( last year and this year is where i really started eating the most but ive always eaten more than the average kid, my appetite is crazy) that my body has adapted to eating alot and it means it takes a lot to gain weight, if i stop eating heaps my weight drops down pretty quick
When all the shit happened with my aunty kicking me out and getting sent off to dads i got really depressed and lost almost 10kg because i didnt eat much.
Also im looking forward to bulking to 100, i enjoy eating. Man on the holidays when i went to that all you can eat restaurant and i destroyed 6 plates of food i would die happy in that moment.
It would be, yeah. Not going to start out with heavy presses for the delts, I have a couple things in mind that I want to try first
And I have no idea where it comes from; in the past I’ve used straps pretty extensively and I have average sized hands at best. But as we know a strong back usually means a strong grip, so I guess that is where it stems from
You’re correct. That’s what I’ve always preached in terms of nutrition; your body adapts and when you fuel the fire you can take your metabolism to the point where you’re able to diet while eating twice the amount of food that other people are having.
Think this works for old broads too?
