Just catching up after my vacation, and I missed your competition! Good job on the yoke, and you’ll get the other implements down, just keep training and getting stronger. Also, enjoy having a coach, hopefully it’ll be a game changer for you.

How was your vacation?

$25 a week. And yes I will follow the program because it is tailored to get maximum results for me individually. If I’m honest when it comes to training i just do dumb shit and spin wheels in the gym myself so having a coach and just doing what they say will be great.

It was awesome, Austin is still a great city, but it’s gotten really crowded. I ate lots of good food, visited old friends, made some new friends at my cousin’s wedding, drank quite a bit. I even managed to hit a gym a couple of times. Of course, I also left Kansas weighing 182#, and got back a week later weighing 188#. It’s taken me 4 days to get back down to 183#.

Thanks brother. I’d like to have a coach forever I think. I know its going to be awesome being coached by my mate whos very knowledgeable and an amazing athlete, but I also have to bust my ass and be coachable, It means no bullshit and listening to what they say.

No officer role… I want to be either a Marine technician or a clearance diver. Clearance diver has nothing available but marine tech is a priority role so hopefully I get it. Plan is 6 years marine technician diesel, experience the defence force and learn alot on the way then piss off to the mines and earn 120-150k a year diesel mechanic/Fitting then invest in real estate and startup companies/ Products and stock market and get rich as fuck!

I suck at saving… which is why my sister will look after my money and i will have an accountant.

Todays training/May 6th deads and Olympic lifts
First day being coached :kissing::sunglasses:

Not going to give away everything I do out of respect but will still log training and exercises and occasionally weights etc and occasionally the full workout.

Deadlifts
Cluster deads
5 reps 10 sec between sets ascending weight

Power Snatch from blocks superset snatch grip high pull to chest. How ironic I have to do clean pulls on the first day lmaoo!! These are done to prepare me for power snatch from floor. Lots of techniwur work to be done.

Wicked session. Haven’t trained since comp (over a week)so a bit detrained but body feeling ready to go! Felt great after session

Banded push press
45kg 8×3 1 minute rest

High bar Back squat 3×8 80kg (First time back squatting in ages, only back squatted like 4 times in my life. Form was actually really good considering. Front squats really develop high bar i think.

Ghr negatives 4×10

Rear delts 100 reps

Wednesday recovery/Rest day
I thought since I live 200m from a massive pool centre that has an outdoor 50m pool, A BUNCH of indoor heated pools, massive slides, A spa room with steam and sauna i may as well use it!

40 mins consisting of Spa and 150 metre swim. Didnt do much swimming but plan on building up my swim capacity/Lungs in the weeks to come. Feel great after. Going to do this every wednesday! I think it will help massively

I’m glad 10×10 clean pulls will never happen lol. I know he utilises things from deep water along with my coach’s coach (wjere my coach learned it) to increase overhead e.g 10×10 push press but that’s it

Todays training
100 reps standing Dumbell overhead press (Neutral grip) Dropset starting @12.5kg dumbells

Strict press
4@ 30,32.5,35,37.5,40,42.5kg

Front squat 3×6 85kg, Last set dropped to 80kg (Supposed to be 85 but was too heavy so had to drop weight. It’s ok I just report back and weights adjusted for next week)

Yoke 3×100metres can break up to 5×20 metres or 3×30 metres and 10 metres etc but no rest between metres. Supposed to be 160,170,180kg but was honestly destroyed after the first set. I might start bringing a snack and buy dextrose powder again. I crash midworkout energy wise alot of the time.

Rear delts 100 reps.

Okay session besides the yoke… bad footwork, bad technique and didn’t finish all the sets. I HATE yoke. I wish it wasn’t an event!!! I’m going to get good at it no matter what
