Richard Pryor died today of a heart attack. He was 65 years old.
He was one of the funniest human beings that ever lived.
Amen to that.
The Toy and Stir Crazy are among my all time favorite comedies.
God Bless his family in this difficult time.

Definite bummer! Hopefully he is at peace after the struggles he’s had these last few years. He’s a homeboy from my area, and he’s by far the biggest influence in comedy today.
Here’s something we can agree on Harris. He was definately one of the funniest motherfuckers to ever live. He will be missed. I hope he’s up in heaven making God and all of his angels piss themselves with laughter.
He suffered horribly over the last decade or so. I don’t so much mourne his death as simply honor what he accomplished on stage while alive. The man is legendary with every comic alive today crediting at least some influence to him.
He joins a long list of funny-men that will be missed!
The Saturday Night Live where Chevy Chase was interviewing Pryor and they were doing the word association thing still kills me.
And teaching Gene Wilder how to walk in stir craszy.
Pryor was hysterical but he lead a hard life. As Prof X mentioned he had a rough final stretch. We should celebrate his success and not mourn his passing.
He was awesome. He dedicated his life to making people laugh and having a good time with it. Im sure he’s up there with his maker just yukking it up.
The Guy was funny, RIP.
Hilarious comedian and as someone mentioned earlier, hopefully he can get some rest after his lengthy suffering.
It doesn’t get much better than Stir Crazy. Today’s funnymen stand on Pryor’s shoulders.
Stir Crazy is a classic.

What I didn’t know was that he helped write the script for Blazing Saddles, another one of my favorite movies.
He was a great comedian and had it pretty rough the last tens years. He will be missed.

He was actually gonna play the black sheriff, but he got dropped by the studios cos of his reputation for being a difficult character to work with.
I miss him…
Much respect to Richard Pryor. He gave us all one of the greatest gifts of all, the gift of laughter. Through his gift, he taught us all a great deal about ourselves as a society. He will be missed. May he find peace.
He was a definite trail blazer and had a big set of balls. Rest in Peace.
