5mcg but that’s not my problem. Problem is feeling like shit on TRT. 70 mg twice weekly IM Test Cyp in the delta. On week 11. Felt good last few weeks after switching to IM and now back to feeling real shitty. Depression, anxiety, irritability, hot flashes, cold sweats sometimes, foggy brain, headaches. This shit came out of nowhere. Started feeling that way the day of injection but before I injected. Been that way now for 5 days. Surely it’s hormonal but something has to give. Bad experience so far in TRT. I hear everyone feels good by Week 8 or less and they never look back. I also have muscles soreness, weak as hell. Can’t sleep
5mcg probably won’t do shit for you. I titrated up to 75mcg. With regards to TRT 140mg is about normal and you should feee good. Maybe E2 is too high. Try injecting EOD with the proper dosage and that will help keep your E2 from climbing.
But you mentioned you felt this way before even injecting. So that says this is not TRT related. How’s your mental state and life otherwise? Have a shitty relationship? Job you hate? in a lot of debt? Etc. Try examining your life and see if there are areas that need addressed. Seriously. It’s no different than ones diet. If you eat like shit you’ll have shit results. Emotional is no different. And IF you have areas in your life that need fixing or adjusting no amount of TRT or T3 will fix that.
This is estrogen related, the solution is simple. You’re on TRT, you muscles are supposed to be sore because they are growing. I want sore muscle because that tells me TRT is working, men who report not responding to TRT feel nothing, like they are injecting water.
A lot of guys get trapped into pushing TT and FT levels to the top of the ranges, not all men need high levels.
I noticed you haven’t started your own thread…
Will this fix itself? Next time I’ll start my own thread. Will the E2 balance out? The thing isn’t I felt the same when E2 was 15, so that’s what makes me thinks it’s something else. I’ve had times where I felt great for a good time. E2 of 9 prior

(Switching from sub-q to IM)
The first week of switching to IM you are getting a higher dose. Sub-q releases over a longer period of time so when you go to IM which is much quicker releasing you are basically getting a higher dose of T for that week or so. I had the same exact thing happen. When I switched from sub-q to IM that first week felt absolutely amazing. I thought I was blessed. Then it went away. About 7 weeks later things got better. You basically experienced a higher dose for that first week or so. On IM I need to take more to get the same levels. Not a lot more but more. I was 180mg sub-q and 200mg IM.
Ok cool! I’m sure I’ll be ok soon
Do you have better troughs with IM?
I do daily shots so I just have a level. Not really much of a peak or trough.
Ok that makes sense. I remember you mentioned 2,000? What dose gives you those levels? What made you switch to IM? Obviously you like IM better or just cause you didn’t give SQ long enough to work?
I do 200mg. 2000 is basically peak. Free T is not as high as you’d think
If you don’t mind me asking what we’re your symptoms when your RT3 was 24 compared to how you feel now that it’s lowered ?
At 2pm everyday I’d need to nap. Not anymore. More energy. With my TRT I can push a lot more weight at 46 than I could at 20.
Ok so basically your main symptom was fatigued and by lowering your RT3 it brought you back more energy. Thank you for sharing your story. I my self have been very fatigued so that’s why I was asking and I’m waiting for my thyroid panel to be completed hopefully I can get to the bottom of all these issues
Did you have any sexual dysfunction as well??
@zsub154
High RT3 should cause hypothyroid symptoms even though FT3 may not be low. Should be the same symptoms as low FT3 since basically it’s making a portion of your FT3 unusable. (over-simplifying this obviously)
No. I’ve been lucky to have high sex drive and a hog that functions my whole life.
I was advised to start T3 due to high reverse T3 as well. I started 6.25mg, now i increased to 12.5 but I plan not to increase more because I dont wanna shut down my thyroid. Since the 6.25 I feel more energetic and stronger at the gym
I started at 5mcg but gave me palpitations so I stopped. Will that side go away? I notice since I quit I’m so damn lethargic. That was over a week ago and I only took for a week. Maybe I need HCG. Idk but I’m lethargic as hell
It is hard for me to believe 5mcg can give you palpitations. How long have you been taking it before it started? Any other change?
UNo other change! It could be mixing it with coffee or perhaps I just needed to keep on it and it would go away. The lethargy started before that but just have no motivation and wondering what I should do. I mean it’s bad sometimes. Insomnia and lethargy. Muscle aches in calf. No other changes at all in last 4-5 weeks. Also getting hot and cold sweating
I’m at 10 mcg daily. First few days I was very agitated and felt weird but then started feeling great. It imediatelly made have daily bowel movements. I was a once or twice a week bowel movement kinda guy. But after a month it’s seems to have stabilized. I think the goal is around 25 mcg minimum. Anything lower is not enough. And not low enough to shut you down. Even if shut down thyroid always rebounds back naturally.
