I can’t understand how people care more for dogs than other people.

I care about humans. I would get emotional about some people dieing, but when it comes to a dog, i honestly wouldn’t be that touched by it.

I know theres others like me out there!

And when im watching a film where some lady runs back into her burning house to save her dog from the fire, i cant help but think “you idiot!! its just a fuckin dog!! fuck it!!”

but then i realise i need to respect other people’s values and so on, and i forget about it. But still, it bothers me a little to read posts about people crying more when they see dogs dieing in films, but watching others die has little to no effect on them, i see this as some sort of priority problem.

I remember reading a post by a certain member that he cried more when his pet dog died than he did when his father died. its none of my bussiness, and i shouldnt really be moaning about this, but i feel like lettin my opinion out

i like dogs though, they are nice. i like humans more though, and if some asshole killed my dog, i definatly would not kill the guy like many dog lovers would. i would just say “wtf” that was ma dawg bro
I think most of us care about our pets that much because they have been a loving member of the family for a number of years, and sometimes, they’ve been a better friend than those humans we’ve found around us at the time.

As far as valuing pets more than humans, yes it can get a little ridiculous. That said, not all human lives are equal either.
well i can appreciate what you said. I think we agree for the most part that it gets a littel ridiculous when it goes over board.

you say that not all humans life are equal, well neither are dogs. thats what the dog pounds are for. and dogs are culled arent they? i mean, the dogs that aren’t wanted
My point about the equality of human life could have been explained a little better.

What I meant was that was that I have known a number of amazing people, many of who I would donate a kidney to if needed. I have also met a couple of individuals that were despicable pieces of shit. The only positive thing you could say about them is that at least they hadn’t molested children.

If I had to choose between whether I would save the life of a animal or human, if I knew what type of human they were, the decision would be quite easy.
Well i see what you mean. But I think all humans are more valuable than animals.

As for child molesters, yeh what they are doing is terrible and disgusting, but i don’t really view them as despicable pieces of shit. Theres generally alot more to a person than their sexual impulses. They can’t help the way they are.
I guess we’d just have to agree to disagree then, as I only believe most humans are more valuable than most animals.

I admit that child molester was just an lazy and somewhat innacurate way of labeling my target group of people who I would label despicable POS. More accurately, I mean those people who would typically be pro-criminal, sadistic, and thrive on others misery. I do not value the lives of those people at all. In that case, not valued above animals.

Yep,I disagree with everything you just said Dick bag…

So lets not beat a deadhorse and let sleeping dogs lie. (pun intended)

Project X with matthew broderick, that movie made me tear up like a lil bitch

Just reminded me…Artex dying in the neverending story was slightly saddening.

i’m currently watching a drama tv show and recently this particular show caused my eyes to water up, and i have actually shed a tear or two. this is sort of a big deal to me because i don’t ever remember a movie/show moving me like this before.

so i was wondering what scene in a movie/show (book?!) has made/makes you ball your eyes out?
Rocky I, where Rocky gets up in Round 14. The only way to beat him was to kill him. If that doesn’t get to a man, then that man has no soul. Srs.

Sands of Iwo Jima, when John Wayne gets killed and they raise the flag on Suribachi.

Best Years of Our Lives, when the old man is reading his son’s commendations. Here it is.

37 seconds in. Cried like a baby…

^HAHAhahaha

When I was little, I read “Where the Red Fern Grows” probably half a dozen times a year, and I cried EVERY TIME. Fucked up kid.

I saw the movie a year ago or so, same reaction. I’m not good with anything where dogs die.

I cried at Cujo.
We had to read that in middle school. I didn’t really like it; I thought it was a waste that they didn’t eat the dog after it died.

I thought the end of Terminator and Terminator 2 were kinda sad.

yeah…

Yes, and should also lay off the clomid entirely.

I’m so hardcore that I killed my softer side and ate it for the protein content after having squated multiple midgets for reps as they deadlifted.

Tears of sadness:

Of Mice and Men.

I fucking cried my eyes out… God damn.

Tears of Hope and Joy

I cried when the American people elected a black man president. The fact I am not a huge fan of his politics aside, I have never been more proud to be an American. Now when I look my son in the eye and tell him he can be anything he wants to be when he grows up, I’m not lying.

Now that they can adopt babies, I doubt they’ll be raising any more lions.

A couple of fims have brought me really close to the edge, can’t say I’ve ever cried though. Of Mice and Men, Forrest Gump (when Bubba dies) and Riding in Cars with Boys (when the dad has to leave and his son is trying to run after him) all brought me close to the edge.

Also, I heard that when you’re on a plane, the air in the cabin makes you prone to peaks of emotion - I watched Star Trek (the new one), Batman Begins and Pumping Iron on a flight recently, and all three brought me close to tears. Star Trek in the opening attack when George Kirk sacrifices himself, Batman Begins when Bruce Wayne’s parents are murdered, and Pumping Iron when Mike Katz loses out at Mr. Universe.

I realise that for some people, that was a lot of spoilers all at once. Sorry.
