I got teary-eyed in the beginning of Star Trek (2009) when Captain Kirk died. True story.
Blackhawk Down, when the 2 Delta Force operatives get overrun and dragged away by the Somalis…always gets to me.
aww sam from i am legends death. also benjamin button
I cried during American Psycho when Bateman was trapped in his office and called his lawyer and confessed everything to him.
I also cried like a little fucking girl throughout most of Caligula, despite the fact that I enjoyed the film very much. And I always cry at the end of Return of the Jedi and I’ve laughed so hard I cried (I’ve even pissed myself) during the first 45 minutes of Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf?

Great film. Too bad Lynch will probably not work with linear material ever again.
The Wrestler gets me every time. Rourke made that character so dimensional.

Not a movie, but the episode of Futurama entitled ‘Jurassic Bark’, in which Fry’s dog dies is quite possibly the saddest thing i’ve ever seen.
I have every season of the show and refuse to watch that episode because the first time was plenty enough.
I have also never owned a real pet so I can’t imagine the emotional attachment you would have watching that if you have ever had a pet die.

Holy shit. I never knew I’d cry so much during a Paul Walker movie.
That movie gets me every time.

Me too. I am Legend, Eight Below, White Fang, I even cried at the end of Turner and Hooch.[/quote]
Dead Poet’s Society
Big Fish
Finding Neverland

God I forgot about that. Yeah that got me(And a lot of people I know!) pretty choked up.
Also, in Shutter Island SPOILER ALERT when DiCaprio’s character has the flashback and remembers finding his kids in the lake. I wasn’t going to confess that it got me choked up but on the way back from the cinema the guys I saw it with admitted that they got choked up also. END SPOILER ALERT
Also, if there was ever a test to see if somebody has a soul or not, it should be to have them watch the Green Mile.
Life is Beautiful - the scene spoiler alert where the tank comes around the corner, and it isn’t his dad and the fact that he has literally no clue about what just happened to everyone around him spoiler end
Didn’t know whether to cry or punch a nazi in the mouth.

Agreed, that was unbelievably sad. You didn’t expect Futurama to make an episode like that.
This is a real-life story which may have inspired it…

Oh man,… about a month after I had to put my Siberian Huskey down (just shy of 14 years old), I was home alone on a Saturday night, had just recently broken up with a girl,… and I just sat on the floor of my living room, crying my f-in’ eyes out!
(and the whole time, I kept saying to myself “turn this off idiot!”)

The music they play during that final scene certainly doesn’t help the crying situation. I agree with everyone who says they don’t do well with dogs dying. I took my mom to see I Am Legend and she had to leave for a bit after Sam died. As a grown man I didn’t want to cry in front of my mom, but as soon as she walked out I teared up, haha. Dogs should be eternal.
Oh, and not sure if this counts as soft 'cause they’re gangster as fuck but I love early Madonna, Prince, Janet Jackson and George Michael. I actually just finished listening to Rhythym Nation less than 5 minutes ago. Only the 80’s and early 90’s stuff though.
When I was little I didn’t watch cartoon channels, I watched shit like QVC and HSN (home shopping channels)
I think its how I do so well in the bullshit category these days.

That part was incredibly well done. I also didn’t expect to be that moved by a Star Trek movie…and not in the first 10 minutes.
Also later, when Captain Pike tells young Kirk that his father was Captain of a starship for 12 minutes and saved eight hundred lives. Then tells him that he expects him to do better, and enlist in Starfleet.

If you loved that episode of Futurama I recommend the Richard Gere movie “Hachiko”. It’s based on a true story.

If there’s two things in life I know I’m not fond of it’s anything where dogs die and Richard Gere movies. Think I’ll pass. Thanks though.
Movies man…
I agree with these.
-End of Man On Fire, on the bridge…
-End of Click.
A few more.
-The entire documentary Dear Zachary: A Letter To A Son About His Father, I seriously cried almost that entire movie.
-End of Armageddon.
