Indeed. I often think of your comment you’ve made a few times to me. Meetings with my endocrinologist are rushed and nothing of substance is spoken about. There’s little diagnostic work done.
He did say he’d order whatever I wanted and leave the choice of my treatment up to me because he says I read more about it than he does.
I will probably ask for another thyroid panel, perhaps another total testosterone and lipid panel and see what my baseline is again before considering what to do.
This is a medical system on the verge of collapse, overworked doctors and not much time is spent on the patient. Insurance companies are partly to blame and now the doctor has to cut through a high number of patients to make any money.
I’m probably going back to injections. I liked the ease of gel application but I didn’t like having to be mindful of being around my girlfriend or family etc.
I couldn’t tell if TRT was killing me or lack of TRT was killing me. I see all these heavy people on reddit going to 200mg/week and losing tons of weight and getting jacked.
Waiting on more tests to come in, but so far being off TRT for ~2 months has made my lipids even worse. And…my ALT is now high but I take 0 drugs or medicine, and don’t drink alcoho
I don’t know why you came off TRT apart from the needle issue but I use 1/2" 27G needles and they are no problem. In the upper thigh is the best spot, if you can’t reach the muscle subQ is just fine. If I felt like you I’d go right back on it.
