Is this some kind of joke? Look at the mayors in those cities that wanted the cops to go easy on the rioters, in Portland the mayor even ordered them to stop using tear gas. And then the prosecutors that refuse to charge the rioters so they are back the next night. Or how about in NYC where they defunded the police and immediately a crime wave began.

Do you think using tear gas and more violence would have helped lower the total violence. I am not convinced it would have worked. We saw violence increase drastically when Trump sent in the border patrol.

Well, they have a right to post bail, right? It is a right US citizens have. I also don’t think from a logistics standpoint holding them all would work.

It sounds like most were release without charges, or the bail was low. How else can meth heads and homeless vagrants make bail?

You got sheriffs and state police at various points giving up on helping Portland because the same people just kept being released and coming back night after night.

Have suspects with strong evidence of arson against them been released upon arriving to the police station? I doubt it, but it is possible.
Same goes for the people with good evidence that they threw objects at police? Have they been released? Or is it others with much more minor acts?

There are some big cities not ruled by Democrats, but not very many.
Also, wouldn’t it be true that if it were truly the Democrats, and not the fact that it is just in general a big city issue, that rural blue areas would be having similar issues (which they are not), and that urban red areas also wouldn’t have issues (which some of them are). Doesn’t seem consistent, and more like a right wing narrative to me.
