Removing Christopher Columbus from History Books

That means you teach from the perspective of Western civilization.

Columbus INTRODUCED the Americas to Europeans and thus initiated the chain of events that brought about the modern era.

This leftist crackpot is an anti-white racist whose whole point is that Western civilization is evil and white people = bad, brown people = good. Therefore kids should be taught about the history of jungle savages instead of Columbus.

Watch the white liberal idiots concede the issue in a frantic attempt to demonstrate how “not racist” they are.

Nothing quite like white liberal guilt is there?

Columbus was A Very daring and Brave Explorer who disregarded knowledge that was not only true but widely known even in his time. He was an opportunist who introduced Spain to the Americas.

He is what he is. We can humanize history by being honest about OUR past without covering it in race pride masturbation.

MLK- enjoyed OPP
George Washington - Was a slave Owner who had more respect for the race he enslave than…
Thomas Jefferson- Who as a young man spoke against slavery but sold slaves until his death(even after he willed them to others)

Stop the Bullshitting of History just to make one race dick hard both White and Black.

The thing is it doesn’t matter if you think Columbus was first or not, he still existed and is part of history so it’s silly to take him out. u
Go ahead and teach more stuff, like Leif Erikson too, but you don’t need to take Columbus out.

I agree. It’s like Not teaching kids about the Black Plague Because of all the death. But it also changed the world.

Now having said that Armstrong has a Better Claim on the Moon than Columbus does on the Americas. At least Armstrong was first.

No white guilt?

Yes.

Not our problem that we were better at the game.

What most people dont realize is that we conquered the world as an afterthought, while being busy bashing our own heads in.

White pride?

No.

No honor in lack of pigmentation.

Yeah but Columbus was more of a Business man than anything else. Can’t hate on the guy for wanting more out of life. He was just not very good at it.

Success, in a way.

One the other hand, if we were not a little bit stubborn, we never would have made it out of the rainforest.

We are what we are.

True can not debate that.

I would like to add Curious & Hunger to the list also.

technically i am an african american, where do i sign up?

On Tuesday Chokwe Lumumba won the general election for Mayor in Jackson, Mississippi; receiving 87% of votes.

After receiving the news Lumumba said, “I?m just delighted. I feel wonderfully well about the people and their vote. Our slogan has been the people must decide and the people gave us an outstanding mandate today for positive change in the city of Jackson.”

Lumumba said, “We intend to work diligently and put all our hearts and efforts into that and we’re going to be calling upon the people to work with us. We’re not working by ourselves.”

Lumumba ran against three independents in Tuesday?s primary: Francis Smith who received three percent, Cornelius Griggs who also received three percent and Chip Williams who received seven percent of the votes in the election. Wapt News reported that voter turnout was low this year, but Lumumba was still able to win by a large margin.

Lumumba was born in Detroit as Edwin Taliaferro and in 1969 changed his name. He says he found the inspiration for his name from an African tribe that resisted slavery and from the African independence leader Patrice Lumumba. He moved to Jackson in 1971where he grew as a human rights activist and earned his degree in law. Lumumba is also known for his past work with the Black nationalists group and the black panthers.

In 2011, Lumumba made notable strides in Mississippi for his legal representation of the Scott sisters. The Scott sisters, Jamie and Gladys are two Mississippi women sentenced to double life in prison for an incident that resulted in $11 being stolen and no one getting hurt. The sisters served 16 years of their time when Governor Barbour suspended their sentences.

Just in case anyone was wondering.
