Sorry. Iām so used to this nonsense from governments the only reaction I can muster up nowadays is to accept it and laugh.
Only the legal, social methods that are easily stifled by left wing media, deep state, and neo marxist education. The last time I saw any popular show of feeling, was the so called Cronulla Riot 2005. Traditional Australians were fed up with the behavior of muslim immigrants, flouting our laws, and trying to assert their way with violence. It was shut down pretty quickly by Police. That night gangs of muslims came out in retaliation and beat up random Australians and destroyed property. The police did nothing. Subsequent government and societal actions were taken to appease the muslim community, basically reinforcing their bad behavior.
I appreciate your metaphor of the sinking ship. It certainly feels like that, but I still have a perhaps irrational feeling that things can be fixed when the general population get fed up enough with the situation.
The original āriotā got world wide news coverage as terrible racist Australia. No coverage on the reasons behind it, or the significantly more brutal retaliation by the original cause.
I think your assessment of the Labor party was definitely how it was, say 10-20 years ago. Today it coasts on that perception and ignores its traditional voter base, in favor of inner city lefties(SJW, and brainwashed marxists), greens, feminists, immigrants, lgbt, and any other vocal minorities that they can pander to. I used to vote for Labor all the time because I felt that the Liberalās were only focused on money and the economy and big industry, at the expense of the average citizen. I still hate the Liberals, but canāt bring myself to vote for Labor anymore. I vote independent, like you mention in another post.
Former Labor leader Mark Latham was a bit rough around the edges, but very middle of the road. His views havenāt changed but, the Labor party expelled him from membership. Today he is a member of One Nation, which is the closest thing we have to a right wing party(though nothing like far right).
One nation are categorised as a far right party. I donāt like their policies, particuarly relating to climate change denial, immigration and societal reform. Unfortunately I donāt think there is a middle of the road vote for those who truly wish to vote conservative akin to the Republican Party in America. Iām generally left leaning (more akin to centre left with a focus/penchant for respecting civil liberties within reason) but when the time comes Iāll probably cast my prime vote for the liberal democrats as quite a few of their policies align with my views. I donāt agree with everything they have to say, but I think theyāre a better option than the two main parties of which are both equally useless.
I think this is taken out of context. The LGBT voter base is more likely to vote left out of perceived persecution stemming from the far right/religious voter base. That being said, regarding actual
harboured political ideology they arenāt all the āultra leftist, woke wafflesā people assume them to be. Rather, being homosexual themselves they have the insight as to see why sexual orientation isnāt a choice, thus they can see why supporting practices like conversion therapy, blanket discrimination isnāt sensible/logical.
If I may ask, where would you categorise yourself under in relation to the political spectrum? Iām aware this medium is quite fluid, and itās not as simple as making a blanket āIām left wingā or āIām
right wingā statement. Rather when compiling all of your harboured beliefs, do you fall further towards one side of the spectrum?
From speaking to you Iād guess either right wing or independent.
The GOP, under Reagan, decided to equate liberal with leftism. The question is, why would they want to smear liberalism?
I guess thatās how many people would see me. I vote independent because these smaller parties at least say they are trying to do something that I actually agree with. I donāt think at this point they have much influence. I also vote independent as a protest against the major parties, they are both useless as you mentioned.
I would say Iām a traditionalist. In the past I would never had called my self a right winger, its just that the pendulum has swung so far to the left, thatās how Iām likely to be perceived.
I wouldnāt know, nor would I be inclined to make any educated guess in case anyone gets offended but the commies were hell bent on suppressing āWestern Liberalismā during the Cultural Revolution. Hell bent as in purging and publicly denouncing and executing ālibtardsā.
I mean, the rise of liberalism after the Open Door Policy did lead to a little massacre known as the Tiananmen Incident in 1989 and a shift back to authoritarianism. Surely it must be a dangerous Left Wing ideology.
VoTe HeMp PaRtY!
Lol, Iād vote legalise steroids for personal use by adults.
I would too, unlikely we will ever get this though as the stigma associated with AAS is just so high; itās illigal and associated with cheating therefore itās BiG bAd. Itās illigal because itās bad, and itās bad because itās illigal/used to cheat in sports
.
At a push an independant party/ThE gReEnS might pass a bill through parliament effectively decriminalising possession regarding small quantities of recreational drugs, AAS would categorically fall under this umbrella
If one looks at the liberal democrats website, their policy states theyād effectively and quickly legalise all drugs deemed (as ranked via scientifically backed scales ranking substances as associated by risk) less harmful than alcohol/tobacco
As a blanket generalisation AAS use is probably equatable to and/or perhaps slightly more harmful than tobacco cigarettes (with AAS mediated cardiovascular disease being the prime kicker) in terms of physical harm induced as current patterns of use/stacks entail exponentially higher and higher dosages and tren/c17aa compounds are a hell of a lot more toxic than straight testosterone, methenolone etc.
Theoretically it MIGHT slip by if their policy was ever put to the test, otherwise if not flat out legalisation theyād be effectively decriminalised
I suggest checking their website out, they combine both traditionally right/left wing ideology and maintain the policy of āfiscal conservatismā as is frequently seen within right wing parties.
Okay, I will check them out.
āAustralia is basically North Korea!ā
You can literally walk up to the former Prime Minister in the street and headbutt him and everyone treats it as a joke. The guy got like 2 months jail.
Not fond of the dudes attitude (guy being interviewed), seems like a bit of a delinquent. Granted Iām making blanket judge of character on the basis of a two minute video.
I never thought there was any truth to Tasmanians inbreeding, but after seeing that guy Iām not so sure.
This being the religion catch all thread, what do you guys think of the charismatic renewal? I am Catholic so I would be most interested in other Catholic perspectives.
Well, you then alleging facism, which is tied to intense nationalism and I donāt see that at play. The type of controls and overreach described falls more in line with far-leftism. All this over-reach is tied in with social justice, which is a left-wing proposition.
Not alleging anything to do with fascism during that era. The Kuomintang were the ones with fascist tendencies. Nationalism and communism arenāt mutually exclusive. You gotta check out CHinaās history of being fucked in the ass by foreign powers during the Qing dynasty and take that into consideration too.
As for what itās really like in Australia, Iām not speculating. Iām just reading what the Aussies here are saying.
All Iām gonna say is once a couple of random dudes start speaking in tongues around me, Iām getting my ass out of there asap.
Hahaha I know what you mean. I am skeptical of it to say the least.
I have been researching and there doesnāt seem to be Catholic doctrine on the angelic form of tongues. From what I gather, angelic tongues are described as speaking/praying directly to God in a language unintelligible by man. The tongues that were used to spread the early Church were reality and there have been saints that have been given this grace as well. The apostles were either given the knowledge to speak other languages or they were speaking in their own language and the listeners heard their own language.
As far as angelic tongues, the Church seems to say that it is possible but it canāt say for sure. Certain saints have expressed caution when using tongues, others say that tongues is only the intelligible language kind, still others say that it was only for the very early Church and has no use today.
