I get your point but since this is “get a life” forum, when I first started training, I used to do force reps with 225’s before when my max was life 150. B/c my spotter was good and strong people actually thought I was repping 225’s, I was dumb and it was funny.

Seriously. It takes a hell of a lot more upper body strength to even HOLD 405lbs over you than anything someone only benching 225 has ever experienced. The load on tendons alone would leave you with a potential injury if you hadn’t trained up to that over years.

Akuma is bigger than most of the people who are so focused on his form. He has apparently also avoided any significant injuries while using a weight that most of you won’t ever even touch.

While I missed whatever thread seemed to start all of this, and while I believe he shouldn’t claim a weight that he can’t do without someone spotting every single rep heavily, I would really like to see ONLY people anywhere near his level of development focus so much on faults…because the rest of you in your glass houses need to conserve your fucking stones.

Dude, relax. I for one want you to keep posting here. A lot of these jackasses have a habit of running anyone who qualifies as big off the forum for some reason. I think this has gone on way past the point of even being constructive.

I would really like to see only people who can actually bench 405+lbs critique you further.

Youre a beast Prof. This is exactly what I’ve been thinking. I’m strong as fuck for my height/ weight (5’10 200lb pressed up 350 before), but I cant even take 405 off the bar. Critique if you can perform 405+ to the chest. If not stfu.
