They just won the ALCS - don’t start sizing rings just yet. They have won only won WS in the last 90-some-odd years.
You guys sound like Cubs’ fans.

Lol. Give us our day in the sun, for it may be over soon.
That’s not true. They pitched Beckett for game 5, Schilling in 6, and Dice K in 7. The only one they skipped was Wakefield, and he was hurting, hence why he didn’t pitch last night.
Beckett is starting Game 1 with full rest, and he didn’t have to pitch last night. Schilling is a gamer regardless of his age, and he will be there.
Dice K… well let’s just say that that 100 million may have been better spent elsewhere. I will hold my judgement on him for now though. He’s young (in MLB terms).
I tell you though… Beckett is a fucking warrior. Impressive as hell.

I’m just saying that, from the looks of it, the Sox are planning on starting Beckett twice in the WS. That will give him 4 starts and 4 potential wins in less than 14 games. Who am I kidding? Beckett will not lose in this series without a total meltdown, or a red hot Rockies’ offense.
Wakefield is either going to be awesome, or be knocked off the mound inside 2 innings.
Schilling is old - I don’t think they pitch him in Denver if it is as cold there as it is right now. If they do - he’s not good for more than 4 innings.
I love this time of year as well. ROX vs SOX. The media should kill that. Younger talent that doesnt know any better against experience that isnt phased by much. I do think the layoff will hurt the Rockies to some extent, but not that much. The Rox will get the awakening of a real away crowd when they get to Fenway. Not sure who to root for…(Mets fan)
beckett is a stud. i just hope he keeps his curve. given how he was throwing it the other night i’d think there’s nowhere to go but up… but then i remember my first sentence.
schilling always worries me but we’re through the AL now. the rockies haven’t seen much of him so as long as hits his spots and brings @ least an average splitter, he has a shot @ putting a good game together.
Why didn’t you guys use Jimmy “Never Been Funny, ever!” Fallon to hype the “Sawxx”? Shit, they used that terrible “NOO-Mahhh GahhciaPahhrrra” Sox fans skit on SNL for years and still he couldn’t be funny!
Come to think of it, they even made a suck ass movie with Jimmy Fallon being some hardcore Sox fan, wasn’t it called “Fever Pitch?” Ughhh. There was a good reason his career sank to the bottom of the Boston Harbor along with that piece of shit movie!
I hope the layoff doesn’t hurt the Rockies. The Sox has better pitching and both teams are about even in batting. But Colorado was 2-1 in Fenway this season and they look unbeatable at home. Should be a good series.
