Hey,
after many years of digestion issues, low carb diet, stress and chronic under-eating i think i have damaged my metabolism and my goal is to recover using T3/Cytomel.
Me: male, 30 years old, 5’10 and 74 kgs.
After some tests and blood work, i found this:
- TSH 1.6
- fT3 very low/low
- fT4 normal
- Temperature is stable but always low: 36,0°C / 96,8 F
- Always feeling cold, dry skin, skin cracks, memory issues, confusion, constipation, and so on
- High daily selenium and iodine intake (no deficencies)
- T around 800 ng/dL
- free T upper range
- DHEA-S is very low
- Pregnenolonesulfate is low
- Belly fat / skinny fat
- Hard to loose or gain weight
I can’t test rT3 because no lab does it here and i can’t find a doc to order it (still trying). But because of some infections and the chronic stress and symptoms, i assume for now it is sky high.
Maybe you guys with experience can comment on my plan to fix my self out of this horrible condition.
My first goal is to take T3 starting with 12.5 mcg and increase the dosage (split over the day) over the span of multiple weeks until my fT3 is in the normal upper range or until my daily temperatures are around 37°C / 98,6 F. When i have issues with raising the dosage or i’m feeling worse, i read that there might be issues with the adrenals and i might need supplementing to get them working right.
After some weeks, when my DHEA-S is still low, i will then start to supplement DHEA and/or pregnenolone until DHEA-S too is in the normal range.
Does that sound right or i’m going to screw myself? How high would you go with the T3?
Thanks
