Rebirth of the Juggernaut: Brute Force and Ignorance (Part 1)

Thanks Anna.

There is no point to anything. That is the joy of nihilism.

@alex_uk It suits me, haha. We all pick our addictions.

@ChongLordUno absolutely brutal. Really dug it. That movement is under rated.

If he’s honouring someone he cares about, is it unpleasant? Is the potential nostalgia or joy surrounding that moment unpleasant?

I think not.

EDIT: The chaos of T-Nation right now had me quote the wrong part, but ā€œunpleasantnessā€ or ā€œpleasantnessā€ is neither productive or unproductive. Humans aren’t automatons or AI.

The celebration and honouring is beautiful.

However, alcohol consumption is likely to be unpleasant and- unlike hard training, bad tasting but nutritious food or having hard conversations… - brings no benefit

The notion of benefit presupposes a desired end. If ones goal is self destruction, alcohol serves many benefits

good point

Enter another rebirth of pwn!

A second coming if you will…

Super news here btw. Continuing to admire the effort presented in your log from afar.

Training Log: Entry 2456

PM WORKOUT (1900)

Chase the Dragon WOD

Followed immediately with

Tabata mountain climbers
Tabata shadow boxing
Tabata jumping jacks
Tabata burpees
Tabata prisoner squats

Notes: Hotel room workout time. For those tabata ones, it was a full 8 rounds of each, so 20 minutes of Tabata work. Chase the Dragon looked cool, but 1 minute rest was a bit much. Next time, I’d cut it down. Plan is to knock out 500 burpees upon waking up tomorrow: we’ll see how that goes. Travel and nutrition is on point: whipped up some baller hotel room chicken tacos

  • 1 carb tortillas

  • Canned Costco chicken

  • Fat free cheese

  • Avocado

  • Fire roasted tomatos

  • Greek yogurt

All cooked up with a 4" skillet.

I love how when you do conditioning stuff that would make me sick you add another truck load of work to it and then comment afterwards that the rests were too long. Love ya work mate.

People aren’t machines. I’ve tried to get this point across to you on different occasions. Not everyone bases his actions on the best possible outcome in an economical sense. Neither do you in your pursuit of advancing your training and nutrition. Some might view that one very similar to your view on alcohol consumption.
Another eye opening point is to realize that everyone’s reality is different. We might both objectively agree that there is water in front of us, if we stand before a lake. However what we associate with the view might be vastly different. Similar mechanisms apply for every form of communication (see the Von Thun communication modell for reference).

Lastly not everyone finds alcohol consumption unpleasent. I mean it wouldn’t be such a popular drug otherwise despite the clear health risks.

Sorry for clogging up the log @T3hPwnisher . This will be all on that matter

@Koestrizer No apology necessary my dude: always appreciate your presence.

@ChongLordUno After what I just did, that sounds about right. Speaking of, you’ll like this post.

AM WORKOUT (0355 natural wake up) FASTED

504 six-count burpees in 51 minutes

Notes: Did these EMOM, 10 every minute. Once I hit 500, I kept going until the minute was up. Right around the 370 mark I started to feel these, and the last 40 were tough on my legs, but I managed to do all sets of 10 unbroken through out.

Helluva workout: one of my new favorite hotel jams. You are a maniac ChongLordUno: thanks for putting the idea in my head.

Do you really want to stop at such an odd number?

Might as well round it up so you can start numbering them as 1.x K . That makes it a lot easier!

Awesome work. Glad to see you guys beasting out on this stuff.

@simo74 Totally forgot to reply to your other comment, but definitely appreciate the sentiments. My conditioning is just getting absurd. Like a drug habit: I keep chasing a stronger dose, haha.

@ChongLordUno Been a blast for sure. Always nice to go looking for that limit.

@bigdaddi Give it a go man! Bound to get something out of it.

@SkyzykS Thanks man! Gotta love what being stranded does for you.

With your levels of conditioning and strengths you should consider joining a local rugby team. It’s gaining a lot of traction on the west coast.

And it’s the best team sport on earth.
Edit: you would kill it as a center or 8-man

@cyclonengineer I appreciate that dude. Rugby has been trying to recruit me since college, haha. I’m terrible at real sports though. I lack athleticism, especially as it relates to catching/throwing. ā€œI’m good at being strongā€ is how I like to sell myself, haha. I also just plain don’t like hurting people, which was a big reason I got out of combat sports. I’d land a good shot, and instead of following it up, I’d stop and make sure the dude was ok. Lacking that killer instinct.
