That’s called idealism. Which is wrong and stupid.
Why do I get the impression that you believe your way of life is the only right way?
My way of life? IN what instance?

I was being ironic, by the way.

Best description of Realism…

A pessimist says the wind won’t change.

An optimist insits the wind will change.

A realist adjusts the sails.

My apologies then. Your last two posts seemed to be putting defined constraints on a very indefinite view.

Crap, I’ve been living under the assumption that “realists” were people that liked real tits as opposed to tits with implants.

Well first I wasn’t trying to look smart by talking about the actual philosophies of realism and cynicism.

I meant people that say they are ‘realists’ and think that they are the only ones who know how the world really works.
And the way the world works to them is that life sucks, theother guy is out to get you, it’s all about who’s got the money, and everyone is lying.

Now the world is not really that bad, at least for most of us, but people think they sound a lot wiser if they say it.

That is an optimistic way to put it. but this definition is what I like to call a worker/doer/badass mother fucker.

This in no way is what I believe a realist is.

After all the reality is that the wind is present and adjusting the sails in the current state agrees with the optimist.

Not changing them agrees with the pessimist.

But a realist would sat “we cant change the wind, we are at see and we have no control over the wind, we’ll just get there when we get there”

“Fuck that we will get there when I say we will get there.” Badassist, we move mountains with faith so sayeth the lord. (Jesus actually preached this) ill have to find where, but its in the bible. Wheres my Faithful brothers!

The irony is that Machiavelli was a dreamer of the highest order.

Which is why a reversal of perspective is needed!
