Realistic TRT Recomp Progress

I don’t even know why Greg got on the video with him and wasn’t prepared.

Greg is doing this shit for views. He’s not a fitness expert channel.

He’s fitness entertainment and explains natural or not. Is this diet a good idea. He peppers some advice that works for him.

More than anything he just tries to make People laugh and he’s sarcastic. he wanYa views.

I bet his coaching plans are good , but he just made himself look like a total amateur making the video. He should not of done that because now his coaching has lost its value.

He should of kept his mouth shut and told him “it’s for entertainment man”. I’m a cockatoo and love to say shit like zereeeero and sarcastically talk shit about fitness idiots on YouTube.

Hands down I would choose Isratel. Shit even Scott Howell worked on a book with mike and that’s another score for Scott as to how damn experienced, factually correct and analytical he is. It drives me mad when something he says goes from in one and out the other ear. Yet guys like Greg duchettes of the trt world are given serious consideration.

A bit off topic but that’s what came to mind. Eh

Yup very annoying. why? because that old school fuck is at the office and hes resentful that others dont have to be. Guaran fucking teed.

I let all my employees work from home. A sales team should not work from home 100% of the time. they should meet at the office and work together to train and sell and etc.

youll find something better. get the experience and continue moving forward hombre.

Exactly what I was thinking, brother – I was actually contemplating looking into Greg’s programming beforehand. After I watched that debate, I thought, “who would ever pay for this guy’s coaching?” Israetel made him look like a fool…and Mike’s stuff costs way less, too. Of course. Now I want to buy the product Mike offers, haha.

Also, Greg doesn’t seem to know much about TRT. He’s more of a steroid expert.

That said, he is hilarious, and I will keep watching his videos, lol. It’s better than Netflix.

You have the right perspective – definitely can’t go full remote either. I’ve been in those setups and you need some sort of personal connection, just intermittently.

Yah you have to know your team and have the human touch. The busienss has to grow and people have to feel a part of.

I’m thinking of going with the Men’s Physique Template, 4-day-a-week program with the full body focus and running that for 2020. Read a review that said workouts ran 45-90 minutes, which seems reasonable. Definitely can’t rock with any 2-hour workouts (or wouldn’t have any intensity by the end).

The four day template can be 6-7 exercises per workout. So the trick is not adding a ton of sets until the last few weeks. Or else you will be there 2 hours easy. Also keep the rest no more than 2-3 minutes between sets.

Damn, great to know. Are you familiar with the 5- or 6-day template? It seems to me that the workouts will run long with RP regardless of how many days you choose, but it’d be easier to bring intensity with fewer days on the schedule.

Where does one signup or get a training plan from mike? Guide me. i cant remember the name of his company or how he makes these available. they are one size fits all type of plans correct? AtheleneX is also a bad ass dude who should actually do a video with Mike. those two are the best in the world.

I actually posted a link but the mods removed it from my post; guess that’s not allowed. Mike’s company is called Renaissance Periodization and his plans cost $119. A pretty penny for sure but worth it for the best of the best IMO and the reviews are very positive.

Totally agree, Jeff Cavalier is a savage who really knows his stuff. Also just seems like a cool guy.

I’ve bought multiple Athleanx programs and love them. I love how they come with videos for each workout where he literally does the workout while he’s explaining everything so even a novice can’t screw it up. You’re able to log everything on the calendar and keep track of the weight you did on each set etc. The way his programs are setup on his website is amazing. He really put some thought into it.

Nice I’ve been seriously considering his plans.
I’m curious how user friendly periodizarion is versus athlenex.

Does he give you options or does the plan say “you are doing pull ups today and there is no option B”?

Thanks dexter

Yes he gives options and there is also an at home (no gym version) of every workout that doesn’t require much equipment in case you are out of town or just want to switch it up. Each day is somewhat different where chest/tris this week will be somewhat different the next week. It’s legit.

100%. Him and his little plant butt buddies always laugh and say “yeah, ‘work from home, I bet you are’” just being old, jealous and behind the times. They literally made me come in to work today because I’m out of vacation days when every customer and every other office is closed… I get here and I’m the only person here. Obviously I’m not staying too long.

It wouldn’t bother me so much if other sales guys for our sister plants didn’t get to do what they want… it’s totally normal for them to come in to the office for one meeting then leave or stop by for 2 hours and leave, but I’m still expected to be here 8-5. Same title, same customers, same exact job but I’m not treated the same. I think it’s because I’m so much younger than them.

I agree… I would probably go crazy working from home all the time, but 2-3 days a week I think is reasonable unless there’s a reason otherwise

Hope so, I’m going to start looking pretty hard in the beginning of the year. I’ve been here 10+ years so pretty decent amount of experience, but I’m in the automotive industry in an area that has a ton of technology companies and not a lot of automotive, so I’d like to make the switch over to IT at some point if I can make it happen

I used to be in tech. Most tech companies are more receptive to the trend of working from home, at least one day per week. Key word is most, so definitely do your homework. IMO the ideal setup is 80-90% at home, 10-20% in the office.

He’s awesome. I was looking into his Max Size Program – as a former athlete, I like his focus on performance, but right now gainz are the priority. Have you tried that one out? With what you’ve done, how many days does he build into his program, and how long are workouts?

Hahaha. I guess there are more than one of them out there…

Anyways, back to bkb333 gettin’ jacked

That’s about right, I’d probably want a little more office time but not much… my wife works in tech and it’s crazy how lenient they are there. They have some people fully remote, some people moved to other areas of the country and just got turned into remote employees and kept their same jobs, some people come to the office 1-2 days a week, it’s just whatever the manager will approve. She hates working from home and has a 5 minute commute so she just goes in most of the time.

Yep, we have a similar setup in my current role. I am usually home 90% of the time but had to negotiate that. I’ve also found tech companies are more lenient (like with moving and keeping the same job, coming in less often) with better employees. You just have more bargaining power and they don’t want to lose you. So that’s something to keep in mind, if you have a ‘prove-it’ phase early in your new role – crush it early on and you’ll have more ammo to work out the perfect arrangement.
