Realistic TRT Recomp Progress

Yeah, we’ve had to cancel four big trips in the past few months. This virus doesn’t give a shit about our vacation plans, lol.

You got all those flights covered? Damn! And just from using the airline’s card for your 3-4 West Coast trips? Sorry if I’m misunderstanding – sounds unreal.

We moved from MA to NH this weekend. Naturally, my first order of business is getting things settled in the garage. Excited about the new mirror, which I got from Home Depot for $100. Had an epic DL session this AM – nothing better than feeling that animal-like intensity during a lift, you know? Can’t capture it all the time.

Anyone know anything about NH testosterone laws in comparison to MA? @NH_Watts? I’m guessing everything is pretty similar.

Question for dads: any tips on how much to budget for the baby’s first month (delivery, etc)? We have great insurance and friends/family who I’m sure will do the typical gifts. We’re also getting a doula, but I have that accounted for. Another 2-3K for month 1, maybe?

I’m not sure. You’d think they’d be similar but if you compare gun laws they are night and day.

Depends on disposable diapers vs washable, formula vs breastfeeding, etc. You’ll probably throw out half the clothes you have for the kid (doesn’t fit or quickly proves useless) and double up on onesies, burp cloths, and a few other things. Your estimate seems high. It’ll mostly be diapers.

Yup. I wish there was a way for me to show all the trips in 2018 but my Southwest “past flights” page only goes to 2019 so there isn’t much to see. I just remembered taking that screenshot back in 2018 and sending it to someone saying my next few months was going to be a lot of time away from home.

I’ll ask my wife for the podcast on it that goes through it. It’s pretty neat, a few years old so might be slightly outdated but should get you the idea. Their website is f’ing awful and I can’t find the podcast but I know there is one.

Well she’s in a real estate class apparently so not responding. Here’s some light reading and there should be a Podcast or two in there somewhere… their website is atrocious apparently.

The third one has a lot on the order to open different cards, etc. to get the best rewards you can from them. If you want to fly a lot and are going to place Southwest goes, if you can get around 110K points on SW you can get a Companion Pass which means your companion can travel with you for free… i.e. buy one ticket, even with points, and your wife gets one for free. And you still have those 110K points to buy tickets with. Some of the details have changed since then so research it first before signing up for anything but it’s what I started with.

Not exactly yoked but considering I workout every other week and eat crap I’m happy with it.

Gotta get me some of that cereal.

That’s reassuring! Happy to hear that. Thank you for the fatherly wisdom

Oh man, this is awesome. I’m gonna dive in and obtain some knowledge. Thank you, sir!

I have heard Southwest is the best of the best for airlines. Unfortunately, they have very few flights around us. I’m thinking of exploring Delta’s credit setup. They’re way better than American or United IMO.

Damn, dude – you’re looking a lot leaner. The V taper is looking crazy! You really lost the love handles.

You work out every other week meaning one full week then one off, right – not once every two weeks?

They get more and more expensive the older they get so that way by the time they are 18 you’re just like “get the fuck out of here!”

That feels so far away, man – it’s hard to even think about that. I just want to find out the gender! We had the bloodwork 2 weeks ago and haven’t heard back yet. Dying to know.

It goes by in an instant. One day you are wiping their asses and the next day you’re discussing birth control. Savor it all.

Must be the 'roids.

Damn, sign me up for every other week work outs and looking like that. Your back is nuts but you haven’t gotten to the ridiculously unnaturally big level that some people get to when nothing is ever good enough and they keep wanting to get bigger and bigger.

Remind me not to leave my wife alone around you

Not by choice. I’ve been traveling a lot the last 6 weeks and rarely get to workout. I really don’t even know how I stay lean. It’s like one I dropped the weight my metabolism changed or something because I eat mostly crap.

I’m good with how I look now. I don’t want bigger. I’m all about impressing women not men. The goal is to not look like I’m on steroids. More of the “that guy has amazing genetics and I want him to have my baby” look. No hate on the bigger is better crowd as I was one but the lean life is where it’s at if you want women to want you. Took me a while to figure that one out.

Absolutely true. I’ve had a similar change in perspective recently.

I asked my wife last week, what’s your ideal male physique? Like when you think of an actor in a movie who gets you all hot and bothered, what comes to mind?

She said “you, like your body is right now.” I pressed. She was being completely serious, though. She said a guy who looks athletic and is lean, with muscle but not gigantic. I’m 6’2”, 170-175.

I wouldn’t mind slowly getting up closer to 200, but no longer have any desire to get bigger than that. At a lean 185, I’d probably be built like you. So I think you’re in a perfect spot.
