Realistic TRT Recomp Progress

It’s been a while, gang. About a month ago, things got nuts – between work picking up and…finding out the wife is pregnant! I’m thrilled. She’s due in January, so it’s still really early, but I can’t wait to be a dad.

I decided it was time for a break from forums and social media. I’m going to be more mindful about my use now, scheduling it out. These are easy distractions for me. I’ve almost entirely eliminated social media, but I’ll still come around these parts sometimes – I like it too much here, and this is a more productive use of time anyway.

So, a few quick ‘hormone’ related topics:

  1. Clearly, I was fertile. This was after very heavy TRT for 1.5 years and limited/intermittent hCG. Good news for the other young guys out there worried about this!
  2. I added Deca about a month ago. I haven’t had ‘deca dick,’ but my libido has been lower. However, my sense of well-being (overall mood) has been tremendous. Not sure whether that’s the deca, the turn in weather, or the great news  Maybe a combination.

I just got new bloodwork – new values followed by the last test, from November:
Total 2732 (1604)
Free 401.6 (289)
E 54 (41)
SHBG 79 (63)
T3 Reverse 12 (20)
T3 Free 4.5 (3)
T4 Free 0.8 (1)
TSH 1.42 (1.24)

The main hormones look OK. T has obviously gone way up, but my Free T:Total ratio has dropped (now 1.5%, was 1.8%). I think cream might be the best next move. I plan to ask for it during my consultation. My libido has never been better than it was during my brief time on cream.

Thyroid values look better – agree, @enackers? Wondering if Armour might be up next.

Good to be back, boys!

YEAH! Congrats on the pregnancy dude!

Congrats! That’s awesome!

Gives me hope, I’ve been on about a year and about to start trying.

Brother this is literally the best log update I have read in a long time! Congratulations!!

Also, congratulations on “reorganizing” your priorities. Social media has a tendency to suck people in and turn them into junkies (for lack of a better term). I see so many people nowadays that watch an entire life go by on a 3.5” screen, and never really experience one bit of it.

Glad to hear from you brother!!

Updated plan: adding cream!

My provider thinks 1 click/day to the testicles (on top of my usual injections) should do the trick and boost my libido. I plan to try this out and see how I feel. Open to decreasing the injectable amount and increasing the cream accordingly.

Edit: @enackers @dextermorgan Think I should roll with this plan, doing primarily daily injections but trying out 1 click/day to the balls, or try to go full-on cream and ditch the injections?

1 click is fine. you are having a pregnant wife and you wont want to use cream until that kids born and you are sure you can keep the cream off your hands and away from the child.

Llibido comes and goes for me to and im on the cream. The longer I wait the better it is. If your labs look great I wouldn’t try to force it unless you really feel a huge difference for a long period of time.

I just started 150mg/week of T Prop & 150mg/week of Masteron Prop on top of my 200mg/week TRT (all split into daily doses). Going to be running that for 10 weeks. I’ve noticed that since losing a bunch of weight (20 lbs) my libido hasn’t been quite as high as before. It could be related to the fact my clinic sent me non-compound pharmacy grade T because of Covid and I’ve been using it for 9 weeks or more. Just got my compound pharmacy shit in so I’m hoping that’s all that it is (likely is). Regardless, that Masteron is supposedly known for cracking up libido to the max so I should be pounding at full capacity one way or the other very soon. Just got a new girl and she’s a 12 amongst 10’s so she deserves the full DexterMorgan experience and who am I to deny that to her.

Yeah man, sounds like that non-compounded stuff could’ve been bunk. Really sorry to hear that. COVID has had weird effects on so many different domains.

However, it seems like your plan should have you back at full-throttle DexterMorgan mode in no time! That 12 is in for an adventure, I am certain. Let us known how the Masteron is. I haven’t heard anything about it.

I was wondering about transference. With the current plan, I’ll just apply 1 click to the scrotum in the morning and then wash my hands, so I doubt it will be an issue. However, if I applied more – or later in the day – it could be. I want to be vigilant about it with a pregnant wife, of course.

What do you mean by “the longer I wait the better it is”? The longer you wait after applying the cream, the better your libido is? You still doing 3 and 3 clicks most days? I’m surprised to hear it comes and goes for you – I assumed it was still roaring all the time.

My labs do look pretty good, but interestingly, the Deca drove up Total T but not Free T – apparently this is a known thing that happens with Nandrolone, it only converts to Total T – so that ratio isn’t in a good place. I felt my best at 2.2%, and it’s now 1.5%.

I think he means the time between bang times

I think Nandrolone is one of those drugs that show up on labs differently. Like some drugs will show up as estrogen when in reality your estrogen isn’t as high as the labs (the lab records the drug as estrogen). I can’t remember what Nandrolone does in particular but I think it shows up weird on labs. Something to look into at least.

Time for a kill room.

I might be totally missing the mark here, but the idea that Nandrolone drives up total T but not free T would actually make some sense based on the common libido criticisms, right? Granted, Nandrolone clearly stimulates muscle growth, so some of it certainly converts to unbound testosterone.

For reference, since introducing Deca, my total T shot up by 70%, yet free T only increased by 39%, and estradiol by 32% (important note: I also increased the amount of T I was injecting during this 8-month window). This implies to me that Deca most readily converts to total T, though there might be some increase in free T and E as well.

I saw this earlier when I was looking into it… not exactly a peer reviewed article but it does seem like it does some weird stuff to certain T tests, depending on the method used.

I can confirm either the Masteron or going back to compound pharmacy grade T has brought libido back to a full 3000% already. Probably the Masteron Proprionate though.

Pound town in the kill room? Best of both worlds.

Thanks for sharing, brother. I had no idea your body produces nandrolone.

Based on this image, do you think my total/free was gauged through the LC/MS-MS test he recommends?

I think I should be seeing an “LC” before that “MS” in Total T.

Takeaway: my results might be “wildly inaccurate,” according to Derek.

What are you taking these days? I think Deca probably is making it show higher but I haven’t done much research on which test version it shows up incorrectly on, etc. I didn’t have time to read that article in much depth the other day.

2700 is pretty high but if you’re taking 200+MG T and cream and tested at the peak of those I don’t think it’s impossible for your numbers to be that high. I was at 1500+ (maxed out the test) on 180mg/week at trough. I suspect Deca is making it report higher than it actually is though. And I doubt you tested at the peak of all of those, which would further make me believe Deca is probably “increasing” total T on that test.

I’ll do some quick reading about it though

I’m currently on 266/week T cyp injected, plus 100/week Deca. It’s a high dose, I know, but we still plan to add 1 click/day of 50mg cream to the scrotum to see if it generates an uptick in libido.

I’m not sure yet if the Nandrolone will stick around in the protocol. Well-being is on point, yet sex drive is missing. Hopefully the cream will assuage that issue.

I agree that, despite the apparent testing hiccup, the numbers may not be too far off – my total T does run very high. 2700 didn’t startle me despite testing at my “valley” (one day after last injection).
