We got our cats nuts chopped off but only because he was spraying all over the house making it smell like ass. the only regret i have though is that we dont get to see him hump the christmas stocking like he used to. that was the funniest thing ive ever seen. he would hump it for an hour straight.

Dogs, especially the smart ones can be incredible escape artists. My sister's German Shepard (papered, from the pound - go figure) now breaks windows when left out of her crate. It is just like in the movies she comes sailing through the window and screen and takes off. She did this while my sister was in the front yard once. I thought it was hysterical, but I didn't have to have three windows reglazed.

Actually, i did check into it, but it was not cost effective, and i heard from other people, that some dogs will earn to ignore it… Now that he is older he stays on our property for the most part (he has 12 acres to rn around on), only leaving to “help” on our neighbors farm which consists of carrying around a stick and riding on tractors. My neighbors love having him around, so they watch him when I can’t.

Invisible fence is also not good for fast dogs. They get a good head of steam going and their through the ‘shock zone’ fast enough for it not to matter, they get zapped and keep on going. Then when whatever they were chasing goes away they don’t come back, because at a slow walk they get zapped progressivly. That’s why it’s bad for gray hounds, standard poodles, slougies, etc.
