I really dont understand what the big deal is over the price of Grow!

I am a college student with no job and I still manage to scrape up the money to order $100+ worth of Biotest supps every so often (BTW Thanks for the free Grow! bars and free shipping special you did a few weeks ago)

When people hear how much I pay for my supps they usually say that they wouldnt spend the money on it. I tell them to look at how much they spend on junk food last time they went to the grocery store or how many times they went out to eat last month.
I am aware that there still are some blank spaces in the puzzle but soy definitely is not the protein of my choice.

Soy has been consumed for hundreds of years.I don’t care about those dumb posts.I eat soy and I’m healthy.Half of those posts are just theories.
We don’t need no stinkin’ theories. . .

Alcohol has been consumed for hundreds of years too, so it must be good for you!

And if half of those posts are just theories, what are the other half?

All these people touting Grow!. The man threw in two whey proteins for comparison. Didn’t the thought of Surge occur to anyone as well? Mindlessly just saying Grow! is almost as bad as mindless thinking all proteins are the same. Anyways, asking about other brands here is dumb, since most of the responses you’ll get is a mindless answer without people even asking your needs.

Surge is designed specifically for pre-peri-post workouts. It contains 45 grams of sugar, and 49g’s of total CHO’s. It only contains 25g of protein.

The original poster was asking about protein powder, not PWO nutrition.

I think it is more mindless not to know the differences between Surge and Grow!.

Unless the original poster intended to take a whey protein shake every 1.5~2 hours to keep his protein intake up, you’d think him asking about whey proteins would imply he is asking about protein used for postworkout. And as I stated, we need to know what his needs are., either MRP/protein for during the day or PWO.

Words and stuff.

For most folks, when they say whey, they are talking about protein. Period. Just judging from the first question asked - I doubt the poster is even aware of PWO nutrition.

I prefer the taste and price of Low-Carb Grow!, but it tends to upset my stomach, so I’m forced to go with a more expensive product…I use both Beverly Internationals Muscle Provider Chocolate and Ultimate Muscle Protein Cookies and Creme with good results. However, as I said, they are Way more expensive than Grow!

I agree that it’s pointless to ask about any supplements on this forum other than Biotest unless you plan on getting your head bit off. There’s a couple ways of looking at this. I haven’t tried Grow! as of yet because I don’t purchase many things over the internet and I believe there’s quality product out there other than Grow!. I’m sure I’d like Grow! and would use it. Economically, it’s a good deal on top of it’s quality. This site is generated to sell product, but you have to take the good with the bad. People get bent out of shape too easily because someone “suggested” a different product other than what’s on this site.

I came across this site because I was looking for tips, not supplements. But, because of it, I am aware of their products and have no problem trying them. Curious though why HOT-ROX is available in retail stores and Grow! is not? I know it’s to keep the price down but that doesn’t apply in this case.

To answer this question. I’ve tried both proteins and I like EAS better.

Personally, never had any problems with Grow!. Good taste, no stomach problems. Cheap proteins like Designer Whey and stuff can cause stomach problems. Not much “nitrogen retention” with them if you catch my drift.

Here’s another article you can mindlessly ignore.

It even addressses the inane justification you make above.

First, the HOT-ROX at GNC, Wal-Mart, etc. is not the same as that here. We have the Maximum Strength HOT-ROX here, while those stores have the regular strength HOT-ROX.

Second, as far as the supplement comments go, a lot of these questions are nothing more than some idiot trolling. Also, most new people that come here don’t realize that T-Nation is run by Biotest or realize that there are supplements for sale here.
