Plenty. As many others have stated though, most guys on TRT don’t come on these forums. So you will find a higher percentage of guys with issues seeking help than you do in the gen pop.
That being said you seem to have switched your protocol no less than three times in the past four months. This could also be the issue. Typically, a protocol change will take 1-2 months to notice. You seem to have put yourself on a roller coaster ride. From what you posted I think the 125mg/wk seems to be a good dose but you’ve only been on it less than a month? Give it some time.
I’m trying to find the right dosage of testosterone for me.
I began with 100mg per week (felt no difference), gone up to 250mg per week (no difference also) and then I came down to 125 mg per week.
But I am wondering: With all that testosterone in my system all these months is it normal not to have any sign that something has changed?
@Greek37 has no patience, he wants immediate results or he changes his protocol and then claims TRT isn’t working right after claiming other benefits 2.5 months in.
This is good progress in 2.5 months time!
What?!
You’re very impatient, you expect immediate results and that’s not how TRT works. It takes 6 months to see significant changes and can take up to 6 months to “start” seeing changes in erections.
I have heard in some cases libido was the last thing to resolve 12+ months out. So many things need to align to have a strong libido, that is brain chemistry, hormones, healthy nervous system and metabolic parameters need to be functioning optimally.
Dear friend please!
I’m not going to waiting my whole life! Aren’t 4 months already enough to have a sign that all this thing is working? If you were in my position and you don’t see any results from your therapy wouldn’t wonder why is this happening? If you don’t feel good on your therapy will you continue on this way??
I have changed my protocol in order to find if with a different dose I will feel better. There were some days that certainly I felt more energetic or more clear-minded but this was the exception. In general I feel no difference and I’m trying to find the reason for that.
Having for years a testosterone level at 300’s, I can’t believe that it didn’t play a role in my problems (no results at gym despite hard work and strict diet, accumulation of fat in belly area, low energy during day and a general pessimistic state of mind). Only my erections were good even at 300’s. I’ ve visited a lot of endo’s all these years. It is true that the majority of them told me not to play with hormones, just for anabolic reasons and as far as my values were in “normal range”, I’ m ok. But I deeply believe that my testosterone wasn’t ok at 300’s and that if I fix that a lot of my problems will be solved. The fact that it haven’t happened so far on TRT, is really disappointing, but even more disappointing is the fact that I can’t find an explanation for this!!
Writing here one again since more and more frequent I’m getting erectile dysfuction problems. These problems are more severe the couple first days after my weekly injection and subside as I’m approaching to the next injection day. My doctor had said to add Proviron for that as he believes that it has to do with imbalances in my estrogen levels.
Any experiences with Proviron?
No, not many members are on Proviron because it’s illegal here in the US due to it not being FDA approved and classified as an (weak) synthetic anabolic steroid.
I gave up my TRT after causing me serious erectile dysfunction problems while being on it. I didn’t follow a PCT and my erection came back to normal after about 6 months of quitting TRT. But this experience made me really skeptical. I was so enthusiast about TRT, I was dreaming of a more muscular physique, of higher libido, of stronger erections, of better mental and phychological state and all I got back was erectile dysfunction, painful injections, frequent medical exams and wasting a lot of money at doctors. Feel really better now with a testosterone level at 300. No muscles of course but I can enjoy sex having an erection. But why my body has reacted in such a bad way on TRT? That’ s a question that I can’t answer.
