I can’t attest to the breed purity of the animal but I have seen pit bulls attack children and show extreme aggression towards people. Now are they any more aggressive than chows, poodles, and chihuahuas? Probably not, but more dangerous hell yes.

Any dog can be this way. I have been to a few places where they were keeping large quantities of dogs attached to buried car axles via chains. We had no issue walking right up to them and taking them, but you could in no way get them within reach of other dogs. These dogs were abused, kept in shit conditions, and bred to fight, but still loved humans.

People just have to realize dogs just like humans are animals and can be dangerous.
Mine was badly abused when I got her. She was great around women and kids, but as soon as she saw a man she would instantly turn vicious. I mean tearing at the door to get through it and attack vicious. It took about 3 or 4 years to train her down from that response.

Oddly enough, what really broke her of it was my brother bringing over his peekapoo to play with her. After a few sessions of that she began expecting to play instead of what ever else she was subject to that made her like that.

They are aggressive but protective as hell of their masters and extremely loyal. I had one when I was a kid and had a chow-border collie mix as a teen. One of the greatest dogs ever, loved that thing.

I’m not saying pit’s are bad dogs, just the have the power to do more damage.

I’ve been to those places also, they’re pretty rough. For some reason, powerful dogs attract scummy motherfuckers. And that isn’t directed at anyone on this forum.

I completely agree. Their physical prowess is nothing to scoff at. They are some damn tanks.

I had a chow/golden retriever mix, he was a great dog but you definitely didn’t want to surprise him. Never worried about someone coming into my house that wasn’t supposed to be there though.

Our pit bull was a rescue that some dillhole left in an apartment after getting kicked out. After hearing numerous horror stories about how bad pits were I thought my wife was crazy for wanting to take one in. I was quite surprised at how friendly he actually is. We can literally take his food out of his mouth and he doesn’t care. I know many dogs of many different breeds that would chew your arm off for trying that.

Yea I think that was the problem; I never had a chow I just remember other people’s from when I was a kid. Those dogs were probably like “I need to keep this little asshole away from my family.” Lol

Alternatively you can shoot them with a machine gun out of a helicopter.
I have done this and have plans to go again this year. If you like guns and shooting pests, you will be in fucking heaven.
I raise 2-3 pigs a year and as my avatar shows, I hunt and hunt hard. There is no easy way to kill an animal for me. Sometimes I wish it was like fishing, just throw them back but that’s the sport. They are all God’s creature and when I come up on even a swift kill, I feel bad. Maybe My E2 runs higher then most.
Yeah, totally agree here. Nothing makes me sicker than realizing I wounded an animal that is in for a long death.

Side note, My best friends brother in law shot this one about 5 miles from our house. He is 6’4" and a pretty big guy for a frame of reference. Weighed 700lbs.

That pig is one bad mamma jamma.

I raise 2-3 a year. Get off the tit at 30 lbs and in about 5 months on good feed I can get them up to 275-300 lbs. Sometimes if you are quiet and listen real hard, you can hear them growing. The bacon is to die for!

I had a purebred chow growing up ( her name was CUJO haha) and she was the best dog in the world, friendly, quiet and loyal. It totally varies dog to dog, just like it varies person to person.

We get a lot of crossbreeding here with domestic pigs that people let get out (or they just turn them out when they get tired of dealing with them) and that results in those giants. A pure wild boar doesn’t get that big I don’t think. He killed it behind his chicken houses coming up eating the dead chickens that had been disposed of.

I don’t know if you are the same way but I think the little bastards are so cute in April when I get them, by September I cant wait until they’re dead! Once they realize they can push you around while feeding them, the fun’s over.

Ya, they are smart, they will root the dirt and rocks over the electric fence, ground it out and then it’s a jail-break! Funny though, grab a food bucket and start yelling PIGGIE WIGGIE and they’ll come running.

Im not concerned at all about aggression towards humans, just my other dogs.

And i have also heard that chows are little fuckheads too.
