I just can not believe this is being taken the way it is. To me it is a joke. As funny as the show was I thought it more offensive when Southpark basically showed that the only way Jesus could beat Satan was Satan giving up. Not showing the likeness of Muhammed in any part of the show actually showed respect for their religion.
Does anyone really know what Muhammed looked like?
How can “9/11 was justified” and “Terrorize the disbelievers. It’s Allah’s command.” can be published by a New York based muslim group and fall under the freedom of speech laws ? That is beyond me.

Freedom of religion too. Because when that guy says this:

Dont take this personally as I dont mean it towards you but more towards anyone who doesnt understand why the muslims would be mad.The muslims being mad is the fucking problem, and them putting Muhammed in the bear suit is southpark laughing in the muslims faces.
Most the people in this country dont understand the mind of a radical muslim or the minds of the fucks were at war with.These people dont think like us, they dont value human life like us or atleast not human life that doesnt believe in the Quran.You show me another religion where mothers attach explosives to there children and blow them up in the name of there god and maybe I will change my feelings towards them.Untill then I will continue to hate these scum called muslims.

Well the 2nd part of the episode airs tonight.
I don’t like how what they have done before was never a big issue of them “going to far” but all of the sudden it is. And for the record I love the show and like how nothing is sacred to them, they are one of the few shows without a hidden agenda - they simply like to call out people for being stupid.

I agree with you completely.
In the Quran, and please correct me if I am wrong, at the begining of the Quran it says to be nice to the Christian and the Jew. Only when the Christians and Jews told Muhammed he was a heretic, and that he was way off base that he started saying Kill the Jews and Christians. Go figure.
All networks needs to show the Muhammed caricatures, all papers should print them, people on radio should impersonate him etc. You can’t puss out on such important principles just because it will offend some people. Nobody has any right not to be offended. If everybody did it, it would show that you can’t limit free speech with threats of violence.

I wonder how this will effect the South Park show in the long run. If they will continue to produce episodes or if they will take a break until this madness ends. I only care that they are safe from these crazies.
