Racist Bullshit

DR. Matt

I have a strict rule, I maintain a level of civil discourse until I am insulted directly, at which point I feel justified in being equally offensive back, it has not won me a lot of fans, but I don’t particularly care, I also post as me (no screen name) so I like my beliefs and posts to be in line with one another.

ZEB,

I respect people that speak their mind, I don’t respect you and a few others, but for the most part, though I disagree with almost all of you, I have no particular personal beef with anyone here. When I was in the Army I was surrounded by good ol’ boys, lots of racist jokes, gay bashing, shit like that, I let them know what I thought about their nonsense and we all got along famously, they didn’t change and neither did I.

If you are a racist, own it, if you’re a homophobe, be one proudly, people have the right to be anything they want, except chickenshit about it (I’m looking at you ZEB).

Alright, so obvious racism is obvious, but what about all the stupid little things people say that gets under your skin?

At what point does a statement go from an innocuous observation to a racial epithet?

How much truth, in your opinion, is there to the distinctions we point out among the races? If you can immediately think of a dozen exceptions, does it really qualify as a racial characteristic?

Why do people think that you can only be racist in favor of your own race, or in opposition to others?

How much of a role does racism play in the way we raise our children? In the way our children raise each other? (you parents know what I mean)

How much of all this is just complete and total bullshit that we impose on ourselves and each other? I say damn near all of it.
In my opinion most of the percieved differences in race are cultural not racial
I have avoided this post till tonight. Three posts in I see this.

Pitt, this may be the most intelligent thing I have ever seen you post in all these years.

You’ve gotta be kidding

Am I and florelius the only ones to notice this?
Or the only ones to bother with it?

Also lol @ “mimics”… what’s that even supposed to mean? They just copy off the white kids?

I was using the heart as an example.

So you’re saying that every gene carries the same weight? That doesn’t make logical sense, evidenced by your quote about a random white person being more related to me than a mixed-race cousin.
… What? When did I say every gene carries the same weight? I don’t even know what that means. Different genes do different things. Whatever you value them at depends on what you value more.
Then your argument of relation by number of differing genes is invalid.
If it’s invalid with a species, then it’s invalid between species too. Is that the road you want to take?
A species is defined by the ability to interbreed. There’s a definite divide that is distinct from the number of different genes.
Different species also have grater variation between them and other species than said species have between their respective breeds. What’s your point?

The road I want to take veers back toward reality and away from the confines of scientific study.

You can spout numbers and statistics all day, but if I can come up with real-world exceptions to that data, then your point is moot. We’re dealing with people, not lab rats.
On the plus side you guys calling me a creep is like ZEB calling me an idiot, it’s a valueless judgement by anonymous internet posters, .
Yet, we have all spotted the same thing in you. One would guess that you might have to think after a while that the world might be right and you might be wrong. But that is a rational thought isn’t it?
ZEB,

I consider myself one of the few voices of Liberal reason on a forum (almost completely) full of RW misogynistic, homophobic, bible thumpers. It would be very easy for me to post on a liberal message board and be greeted with “Attaboy” and “We love you” but what is the fun in that?
You post here because most of the people are like minded I post here because they are almost all diametrically opposed to me, you choose the easy way and convince yourself you are right, I know I’m right and you prove it for me every day.
It must suck to need validation as much as you.
I don’t think it is just because you are liberal. I am also one of the more liberal minded people on this forum and the conservatives even the ones that I disagree with very often do not talk to me like they do to you. You might want to think about why that is.
Well if I remember correctly you arent to the left in economic matters and brian is and thats why he get all moronic flack he gets from the more conservative posters. Its nothing new here and its part of the tour for us left of center guys. ZEB and I went trough the same shit, but I beleive we are at peace with eachother now.

So to recap the shit towards leftists like brian are the bar mitzva or the right of passage for us left leaning guys here at PWI and if you start to argue for a bigger welfare state and more taxation etc you will experience it yourself
Not entirely true my friend. We had some good debates but I always had a high regard for you, your thought process and how you treated those you were debating. Comparing yourself to someone like BrianHanson is unfair to you.

Gee B r i a n a couple of weeks ago you claimed that you were a retired Marine. Now you are saying that you were in fact in the Army. Which is it ole’ buddy? You also said you and your wife have an income of over 300-k combined is that true or just another lie?

As for the rest of your whine because someone is against gay marriage they are now homophobic? Yeah, I suppose that makes perfect sense in the pc world of the far left. When the facts do not back up your assertions simply name call. Got it.

And while I know it’s difficult for you retain a clear thought in that noggin of yours you and I have never discussed race, nor have I discussed race with anyone on this board in several years. But…I’m a conservative and in your tiny pc leftist world conservatives are all racists. It seems that you are relying on lefty stereotypes to carry forward your feeble arguments. But I guess that’s nothing new for you is it now?

And getting back to my first point I’m sure many are curious as to why you lied about being in the Marines? Or, were you in the Marines and you are now lying about being in the Army? What’s going on B r i a n are you losing it?

Oh the tangled webs you’ve weaved…

Not sure if serious.

Slavery 2.0? Fucking hell what are you talking about!

Your last line in particular is classic.

Blacks are failing in academia internationally, in every society, not just America.

Before the accusations start flying, these are fucking facts. The amount of black students at Oxford and Harvard and all the top places worldwide is disproportionately low.

I am not some kind of bigot, I couldn’t give two shits about whites or blacks or nationalism or anything along those lines. I am posting as your post is just such right on politically correct bullshit, there is a need to speak out.

Calm down pal. There ARE those here who get it.

ZEB,

I never claimed to be a retired Marine, where the hell did you get that? I grew up on Camp LeJeune though, my father was in the Marines for 20+ years, you may just be a little bit learning disabled so I will give you a break on your misunderstanding of words. I joined the Army back when Reagan was president, I never even considered the USMC, it seemed a bit strict, I always preferred “Stripes” to “Full Metal Jacket”.

Additionally the income is $180k not $300k so really I am uncertain that you are even literate,

Tiger Time,

You’re from Canada too correct? Whereabouts are you from?

It’s not about that. Like I said, we’re dealing with PEOPLE, not data. It’s unjust to lump everyone with a certain characteristic into a pile and assume they all have exactly the same set of characteristics.

Completely natural, but unjust.

Keep in mind that this reality is not limited to blacks. Those content with being on government subsistence will always vote for those espousing more government subsistence, regardless of race.

What’s the solution?

Same question. If you were in charge, what would your solution be?
JayPierce wrote:
Same question. If you were in charge, what would your solution be?
There is no real solution, nor can you expect one from me in 3 easy steps when so many thousands of people have devoted their whole lives to finding answers to these issues.

Life is hard and unfair. If you have been dealt seriously shitty cards, I genuinely feel sorry for you. I emtpy my pockets pretty much any time I see a homeless person. Life is unimaginably tough for millions of people.

The only way out is for people to take personal responsibility for themselves and try and improve their own situation through education and work. The reality is the world will never be perfect, many people do not have the ability to improve their circumstances drastically, and so poverty and inequality will always exist to some degree no matter what. There should always be steps taken to help these types.

However, I do not believe in a blame culture. If you are poor and in a shit place, you need to try and improve your circumstances for your children. If you are really poor, don’t go having loads of fucking kids. You are fucking things up for yourself and them.

I believe it is very negative for people to always blame the White Man or whatever. Chinese and other Asian cultures are all very proud, and they believe in working hard and improving themselves.

How many Chinese immigrants come over, work day and night to survive and instil such a burning work ethic and pride in their family name in their children that their children go and and make HUGE financial and social jumps in one or two generations? TONS! How many Indians? TONS!

My point is not anti-black. I know some highly intelligent and successful black people. But equally, in many Western societies, people are too fucking LAZY to improve themselves. They don’t want to sit in a library for 12 hours a day for years learning shit. Loads of Chinese people are much much poorer than many of these American or other Western fuckers bitching and moaning 24/7.

Fundamentally, work ethic and pride need to be instilled in people. This is done by raising expectations of people, not lowering them. Constantly blaming outside factors gets nowhere. Yes, life may be shit for you, the only way out is through your own efforts, not someone else’s.
