True and hilarious since Hamilton loved big government. Problem is that the man pushed big government to expand liberty, not constrict it, whereas libertarian hero TJ would have allowed liberty constricting universal healthcare, so long as it was advanced by the states.

Hamilton was an idiot. President Jefferson would not allow federally mandated health care and would states to do it so long as it did not include mandates. He would not go for any government to force anything against the citizens will. There is not a single poll that shows people are for the bill, not fucking one.

What makes Hammy an idiot?

As for Jefferson…recall the wildly unpopular Embargo Act that he pushed which sunk our economy:

That’s just the icing on the cake with TJ. You should consider his pursuit of Aaron Burr which was rife with over-reaching executive power and violations of state’s rights to pursue a witch hunt against a political opponent.

Mind you, I’m a big Jefferson fan, but I grow weary of ignorant infatuation with TJ which demonizing one of our country’s greatest servants and champions of individual rights in Hammy.

I’m not sure how you people think this doesn’t represent the tea baggers? It completely represents them as a whole. The only difference is their public speakers all stop one step short of calling their enemies “traitors, niggers, or faggots” etc. as that would make them look bad.

No, they aren’t all racist, but a LOT are. Either make a real attempt at distancing yourselves from these people or watch as the tea bagging movement flounders.

You know, just once I’d like to see a Tea Party protest broken up by tear gas and rubber bullets.[/quote]

Please provide evidence that “a LOT” of Tea Partiers are rascists. Hopefully, even better, you’ve been to a Tea Party protest and you can tell us all about it.

The fact that you want the protest “broken up by tear gas and rubber bullets” just reveals your own incipient fascist tendencies.

Which isn’t surprising: push a lefty far enough and eventually his authoritarian, fascist nature will reveal itself.

I was pointing out absurdity by being absurd, that’s all.

Of course there are racists in the Tea Party movement, why would anyone deny that? There are also racists in the democratic party, republican party and in any large group of people.

There is still racism in this country and I don’t see it going away any time soon. Fortunately it comprises a very small part of the populace probably a percent or two, but yea it’s there in every group from the political to, sport, business and on and on.

You don’t get any points here, not even for trying. Besides, shouldn’t you be out celebrating giving more of your freedoms away to the government?

Yes, now run along.

Questions: How the hell do we know that people shouting such things were Tea Partiers? ACORN or Moveon would NEVER think of doing a plant, now would they?

And if the voice of the people and not Electoral College votes say that Gore beat Bush (‘The will of the people was thwarted!’}, then why is it okay to thwart the majority who don’t want this bill?

Holy shit. You know, the Tea Party’s not really that great for the GOP either. How do you know these people weren’t GOP double agents? When you hear hoofbeats, do you think of horses or zebras? Probably neither…probably think of centaurs.

Actually, that sort of thing is done all the time at protests. If you look at the Civil Rights movement, for example, on a regular basis the MLK crowds were infiltrated with blacks who were paid to instigate violence - which, then, the whites were able to act on and blame them for. Yes, a pretty standard tactic - I’ve seen that sort of thing (not violence - yet - but fake but horrendously egregious signs, etc.) done often on both sides of the Tea Party v. opposition crowd. I would not be surprised if the people yelling the racist epithets (if true anyway) were plants.

That may be so, but like I mentioned earlier, I attended one of these rallies and my friend’s father happened to be at it also. This guy is a raging racist but I can assure you he isn’t an ACORN double agent by any means.

Fascist? I just want to see them hurt, especially after the way they treated that guy with Parkinson’s.

Jeez.

Proof that gay people are racist:

These arguments are incredibly ridiculous.

Seeing a group of people who are either conservative or liberal who make threats or get violent and labeling the entire party is no different than saying that crime rates for black people is high therefore ALL blacks are criminals or mexicans kidnap children so ALL mexicans are kidnappers.

I’m far right.

If you believe in upholding the Constitution and everything that made this country sucessfull, then you would be against what Obama is trying to do, which is destroy these principles.

PLAIN AND SIMPLE.

The FBI is looking into this claim buy using video of the incident made by both individuals there, and staffers of the congressman that made the claim. They have yet to find anything ever happened. Go figure.
