AHHHHH Gotcha. Damn shame.

This was actually a topic on the radio here recently (not sure if it was this exact case or not). It seems most people just leave it be when the noise is out of hand- not even calling the cops. I had never really thought about it before; I assumed I would have no problem walking over and saying something. Now I am not so sure.

That sucks to be in that situation either way. I wonder if he actually had the first swing…

Sucks, but from the story it sounds like he escalated it. There is a time to walk away.

Absolutely this is a shame, but that is the level he wished to take it. No one is right here. But hitting chicks with bats will get u beat down something feirce 9/10 times.

JUST WALK AWAY.

In a way,I agree. He seemed like he was asking for it but then again why? From the article,It doesnt seem like he lived in a really pleasant neighborhood to begin with. And why bring a bat? Holy shit. Be nice until its time not to be nice.

I feel bad for the wife and kids but jeez. First of all he went and got a bat first…he could of simply called the police. All you have to do is call the cops…if they dont come in 20 minutes then say you think someone was waving around a gun or some shit and they’ll be there in three minutes flat. He hit a women with the bat…you dont think everyone will be pissed? When the other two guys came out with bats…then you turn tail and run because ur fucked.

People are fuckin retarded… even if he was a great mma fighter… kicked both their asses and walked back to his house… one of the pussies could be be liable to go get a gun and come shoot you in the head. So the moral of the story is dont escalate fights, if you need to then defend urself but walking away is the best option

TWO other guys? did you read the article before your school taekwondo class prompted you to bring MMA into this matter?

Read the article:
After Matsuda slapped the guy and his wife on the face, the ONE partygoer went inside for backup and OTHER partygoers came out and chased Matsuda back to his apartment, at which point Matsuda produced a baseball bat. The exact number of partygoers involved in the assault isn’t listed but that there were TWO baseball bats and ONE of the partygoers hit the dude in the head.

So what we have here is a mob chasing the guy back inside his home, he gets a baseball bat out to intimidate said mob and one of the mob members hits him on the head.

“An unidentified man then hit Matsuda in the head with a bat, and Clifford allegedly started hitting Matsuda with a bat as Matsuda lay on the ground. OTHER partygoers are accused of hitting and kicking him as he lay on the ground.”

“The other partygoers ran away when the police arrived” other besides clifford. How many exactly? what was the scale of this party? Easy to guess considering the disturbance they were allegedly causing…

Finally, “The autopsy also revealed Matsuda was stabbed.”

Clearly hinting this was a small MOB beating down on the dude. And more than baseball bats were involved.

So, dude was outnumbered, there was at least a knife involved and the article hints at there being a number of people beating down and at least one person stabbing the victim. Yeah, i’m sure an MMA specialist would have knocked out all the party-goers including the dude who used a knife. Chuck Norris does exist…

I do agree, he should have simply alerted the police, but he probably expected some assistance from the other members of his neighborhood in case things got ugly. He also probably did NOT expect a lethal blow (i.e. bat to the head) would be thrown over this altercation or what stopped him from bashing their brains out when he first brandished the bat at his house?
Whodathunkit? Personally, if I planned to take on a whole slew of partygoers by myself in real life, I’d go in armed with no less than a chainsaw or a flamethrower.
