I’d be real interested in hearing what someone from the UK has to say about this topic, especially given whats happening in their country regarding it.

I could make it a leading one though if you want. You and your guy friends at a bachelor party or whatever turn on a porno and it’s your daughter, do you stop your buds from watching it?
Yes, because my friends and I do not express sexual desire towards one another’s adult children.
Or, at least not out loud and in the open.

Personally I like when they just get right down to it aswell but if you watch porn with a chick they like a bit of a story… Also storys lend to creative names like my new favorite Asian porn (Pacific Rim job)
On a side note X why do all the black dudes in porn always leave their socks on?

It isn’t relevant what I want for her. She has to live her life, not me. It’s my job to be there for her when she needs.

Once either she or my son are past a certain age, there is nothing I can do, but help them go where they want to go.
I can either beat myself up and lecture them over and over again, or see that they are their own person. Even if I was to feel I fucked up in some way, and that is why she turned to that industry, I have no one to blame or be mad at but myself.
Look, would I encourage my daughter to get into porn? Not as an actress, fuck no. If she wanted to make “female centric” films that didn’t treat women as bags of skin around three fuck hole, cum receptacles, I would support that. Why wouldn’t I encourage her to act in the films? Because women are largely treated like shit in those movies, and expected to allow themselves to be treated like shit by the boyfriends that watch those movies.
However, if she turns around and gets into it… I’m going to love her and be there for her the best I can, as long as I can. Would it suck and hurt my heart? Probably, because I know chances are she is being treated like shit.

I see the filming itself as being treated like shit. Or at least being treated as less than what they are.

So at what point does the naked body stop being art or science and start being porn for you than?
(Not a leading question, actually curious.)

So we’ve come back full circle to it being essentially about Christian values and you believing that sex is sacred and not to be filmed for the consumption of others? Because if we remove all periphery negatives of the porn industry(like you requested we removed peripheries in the ‘do it for fun but have awesome career’ scenario) and you still see it as negative, that’s really the only difference of opinion possible.

Depends on the person who’s body it is and the person observing. It could be both or neither. It could be fine for someone and not for another. A science book could teach a young girl about puberty, or could be used by a 40 year old guy to jack off to the pictures of kids.

No, I haven’t been arguing christian values. It is demeaning and cheapens a person. No Jesus teaching needed. He seemed to think it was getting treated like shit for a lot of the stuff in the industry and you didn’t attack him with Religion.

All morality is opinion, like him thinking much of what the industry does is “treating women like shit”.
DoubleDuce wrote:

Why is it demeaning? Is there something inherently demeaning about sex?
Or, do you think that the only way a woman could possibly want to be fucked in the ass is to be paid for it?

Well, to be clear whether or not it is demeaning is going to be up to the individuals performing the acts. If the parties don’t interchange sex with respect for one another, gagging blow jobs, facial cum shots, or triple penetration isn’t demeaning. If any of the participants think it is demeaning, yet still do it for money, it is treating them like shit.
I knew a girl in college that liked it rough and dirty. When I say dirty, I’m talking, most of the porn movies we are talking about. This was a whole lot of fun. After a couple weeks she said she liked being slapped around during sex. That is where I drew the line. She actually wanted me to smack her. All the filthy shit we did until that point was great fun, but once my hand (if I had done it which I refused) went across he face I would have been demeaning her, buy treating her as lessor than I believed she should be treated, whether she liked it or not.
Long stories short, when I can tell the chick is just doing it for the money, it is demeaning.

Got it. Everything you’re comfortable with is okee-dokee. Anything you’re not comfortable with is demeaning. Even if she wants it.
But for whom? It sounds like you’re projecting. I think the exchange of money is the most honest part of the job. It seems like you’re saying that you’re uncomfortable with the fact that girls get paid for this, and therefore it must be demeaning. Or does is disturb the illusion that some woman is getting bukkake-ed simply because she really loves cock snot all over her face?
