I thought the movie was ok. The end of the movie kind of lagged imo. The Flash Gordon part was classic though. I’m not a big fan of Seth McFarlane so that could be a reason.
I still think South Park bigger longer uncut was one of the funniest movies I’ve ever seen.
I was thinking that the best place to get humor now is the internet.
I mean internet memes and some videos out there (I don’t mean stupid ones where a guy gets hit in the nuts) just provide more laughs than movies or TV…at least in a laughs per minute sort of thing. I mean you may sit through a 90 minute movie and get two good laughs…but if I look at our (de)motivational thread heer on T Nation I may get a doxen good laughs in that amount of time.
I’m busy and need my laughs to be efficient and effective.

Same here. And a doxen internet laughs beats a dozen movie laughs any day!

I thought Ted was brilliant (Mila Kunis was a nice addition). I would put it up there with the likes of The Hangover. I loved the fight scene!
It was enjoyable but one of those movies you forget about by the next day.
I agree. I was sorely disappointed in it. Not because it was terrible, because it didnt live up to my expectations, or even come close.
I thought it was a “chuckler.” It had its funny moments that got a few chuckles out of me but there was never anything so funny that i burst out laughing or felt like quoting to my friends the next day.
I also didnt like the fact that the comedy-style was essentially the exact same as Family Guy. I love Family Guy and American Dad but was hoping Seth McFarlane could show me something i havent seen before.
I believe for a first attempt as a major hollywood film director, it was help promise. Hopefully he comes up with something better in his next flick.
I’d say 6-7 out of 10, tops. And would have docked it another point if Mila Kunis wasnt so hot in it.
