Question for Any Medical Professionals

That makes perfect sense and thanks for that.

I’ll probably have to go with whatever dose my dr is comfortable with, and YES…I have definitely taken blasting OFF the table, at least for now.

One of the things that was mentioned during my phone call was that my cholesterol was high. I have my diet dialed in, I just have to make sure that I stick to the plan and not stray like I usually do, especially if I start TRT. The doc seems to think that it may be hereditary because my family has a history of high cholesterol.

You mentioned estrogen regulating cholesterol…do you think it’s possible that if I start TRT, and E2 goes up a little as a result of the increased test, that could help in cholesterol management in my body?

When one has hypogonadism, TRT in general usually has a positive effect on the lipid profile. I used to also think estrogen was terrible when it was above range, but physiolojik (the endocrinologist on this forum) has taught me otherwise. Whether you need to worry about high cholesterol depends on how severe it is, people with serious familial hypercholesterolemia can have LDL levels of (literally) 1000mg/dl, these people typically die very young, mild hypercholesteolemia can be managed.

Got it. Thanks!

And yeah I got my head out of my ass in regards to TRT by mainly reading the posts by physioLojix (dude has a WEALTH of knowledge), yours, and stud_hammer. You guys are an asset to this forum!
