I like Thor…awesome name
My vote still goes for Professor X.

You can see he has a good frame (forearms). I had a red nose pit for 4 years that got hit by a car. I got his ears cropped. He seemed pissed about for some time and would fight like crazy to not enter the vet’s office when we went to get the stitches and badges removed.
I love pit bulls. They can be great dogs.
Does he still have his nuts? Probably haven’t dropped yet.
I’m not one to castrate a dog. He’s got 'em.[/quote]
in that case, ‘precious’ is out the window. How about DragonBallz?

He sure is a good looking pup Push, the Meesus did a great job. Sorry to hear about the loss last winter too, it’s never easy.

I think Sluicy would be a good reference on the “Pitts are awful” hyjack that’s been going on.

Thor and Tren? I don’t like either to be honest. I could see this conversation going on at boat-launches and hot-tubs full o’ swingers alike:
“what’s his name???”
-Tren
“Tron?”
-Tren
“Trent?”
-No, Tren, that’s it… Just Tren
“Oh… Tran?”
-Jeez… Meesus put your clothes back on I can’t stand being around these idiots… C’mon Tren, you too.
And Thor is just bad.
My choices for your dog (and I know I’m late to the party) are:
Gus, because it’s short and all business, and/or
Babe, like the blue Ox.
My biggest error in rasing my husky pup is that I named her a two syllable name. I just call her “sis” most the time now anyway.
Again though, good lookin’ pup man, very cool.
Creature.
I kinda misclicked, I usually don’t frequent such threads, however cute they may be.
But since I’m already here-
Very nice dog, Push.
And I like Thor better then Tren.

Why wouldn’t your landlord let you get a pit?
Usually its because insurance agencies have created aggressive/dangerous breed lists for dogs. Any tenets with such a dog may cause the policy to be void or raise the premiums. Of course, the communist news media gives all these dogs a bad rap, while completely forgetting that police/military k-9s all fall under the status of aggressive/dangerous breeds.
Rotts and pit bulls account for 67% of all dog bite related fatalities among humans. Say what you want, but actuaries run the insurance biz and the occasional good owner/loud mouth in favor of pit bulls means exactly 1 metric shitton of dog shit to the world of statistics.
Rotts and pit bulls account for 67%…is in actuality massively inflated. (Without taking the time to go back an re-reference this) Roughly 3/4 of so-called pit-bull attacks aren’t by pit-bulls, AmStaffs or bull-dogs at all. But since everyone IS NOT a qualified person to recognize what animal they “caught a glipmse of”, they just say it was a pit.

Now, which one do you think is the “pit-bull”?
Sorry bout the rant, I like so many others here have had all kinds of experiences with the breed and like some else already said, its the people that suck, NOT the breed!!
Oh, and as far as a name…well, I like Meathead. It was mine’s nickname (RIP), but your welcome to it. Beautiful pup btw.
It’s not that pit bulls are evil dogs, it’s just that they can inflict more damage then other dogs. It’s like that lady who owned a monkey, it was a great pet until it flipped out one day and ripped the ladies friends face off. If the lady owned a house cat instead, her friend wouldn’t be so disfigured now.
You can never trust and animal no matter how perfect they seem. Sometimes instinct kicks in.

I’ve long held doubts about the accuracy dog attack/death statistics and also feel that all of the bull terrier breeds are getting unfair treatment.

Trenthor the Mighty! Coming to a theater near you!

Perfect way to combine both names! I think you should keep it. He is a beautiful dog!

That’s cool. Push, if anyone will make a great pit owner it’ll be you.

The waddle? Geez…we had that conversation what…2 years ago? Good memory.
If he’s got the squatter’s waddle, then I don’t see how you can call him anything OTHER than Tren.

An APBT.
I would name your dog, I am not sure. I just name my dogs whatever seems like a good name, usually if they look like an old fighting dog that I liked I name them after that dog.
Bertil, Haney, Yates, Surge…and my favorite
bucket
have fun w/ the pup push, sorry about your boys…my boy is an 11 1/2 yr old shepherd, 120lbs…he’s getting old, shaky legs w/ so so kidneys. i watched the movie marley and me the other night, fucking dogs, wish they could live 50+ yrs. i’d kill a man for my dog, and not think about it twice, have a sammich and go on w/ my day…is that bad?
