Not even a lol.
It is pathetic that people lack the critical thinking skills to not see what is wrong with that garbage, and lack the basic historical knowledge of what amounts to Franfurt’s occupation of the American opinion.

It’s a typo, should be Frankfurt.
But again, not surprised you haven’t the slightest idea what I’m talking about.
Question: if I were to refer to you as a Useful Idiot, would you know what I meant or just think I was calling you a dumb person?
Although it’s from another thread, it’s relevent here.
Don’t have it in front of me, but Time had an article on minimum wage and both sides from different angles. They had a part that basically said the President may “aim high” but be ok with achieving an increase to 9.00. Anyone heard anything like this?
I’m away from home so I can’t look it up right now, but may be a bit of political football going on here. 76% of people support a minimum wage hike and this may be a big 2014 issue that people run on.
Sadly it is much easier to say raise it than keep it the same. One of these plays much better with the electorate than others.

…thanks to the *stupidity of that electorate.
*ignorance may be a better description.

Ignorance, without question, ignorance…
Willful as it may be, ignorance none the less.

Of course. Most people don’t “get” markets. I think Democrats will aim high and be satisfied with a few bucks if they can get it. And honestly it is probably a position they can win on. It’s a smart pivot in a political environment where they are going to have a hard time running on record.
If I was in charge of the Democratic Party I would do anything to change debates from Obama’s term similar to how Republicans in 08 tried to distance themselves from Bush. I don’t think it will be effective in 2014, but maybe I’m wrong.

Hell, if Obama(or his puppet masters) stops the war in Afghanistan, and stays out of the Ukraine/Russia crap, I would almost be tempted to ask for a third term for him. Both parties want to control the economy and society, so if the Democrats would go anti-intervention, they would be 1/3 vs. the Republicans’ 0/3.

You must want the terrorists to win.
Surely you haven’t forgotten 9/11? Hopefully you’re being spied on so the government knows you have these crazy views and they can stop you before you go too far with your free thinking.
We can’t be too cautious…lots of bad people out there.

you should educate Google and Me
Yes I would know what you were TRYING to say just the same , I think if I called you a pseudo intellectual

The Frankfurt School is a economic and social theory school. It is neo-marxist and a proponent of critical theory and other such things.

I have seen you post several of these Reich ‘snapshots’.
IMO…these do a dis-service to Reich and a terrible job of explaining his position. Although I take exception to some of Reich’s positions, and he certainly leans left, he is not the superficial fool these ‘snapshots’ appear to represent. There is a depth of understanding here woth considering.
