Purple Wrath

ok about a month ago i sent my mum too the local gnc to buy me a BCAA powder, she came back with something called purple wrath. She said the difference in price between the two was $10 and purple wrath was flavoured and she thought i’d like it better.

Bless her heart lol but I have no idea if this stuff is any good or not, I’ve had it once or twice apart from getting a tingle in my face I haven’t really touched it again, so is this stuff worth using? is it good for an amino acid powder?

there is the product details

I’ve heard good things. Never tried it though. If I was in your situation I think I would use the stuff consistently while on a good program and see if it helps.

Well it’s more than just a BCAA product. It has EAAs and other stuff in it too. What do you expect it to do to make it a “good” product? It has the BCAAs in it that you wanted. If anything, it should be a VERY small part of your overall plan.

It tastes disgusting and makes my face itch.

yeah its a good product imo, but i switched it in for just bulk bcaa powder in my stack because that is all that is necessary and it is cheaper.

the niacin (and possibly the beta-alinine) are what cause the burning/itching sensation btw. you will get used to it and likely not really notice it after using it for a little while.

heard good things gonna give it a try

Every time I buy BCAAs in bulk they taste like shit and don’t mix.

i dont like the taste either

the reason why I’m asking about it is cause it has everything added to it. yeh it is expensive I’m currently on a cut do you think it would be beneficial to use?

shake them (in a nalgene or something similar) instead of stirring. they generally will not mix well if they are stirred. also, if you let them sit for just a little while they will dissolve better. problem solved.

as for the taste, man up.

Yeah dude, purple wraath is good stuff imo - about 50% BCAAs IIRC, anyway, I’d suggest having some pre/during/post workout. Depends on what other supps you’re taking, but BCAAs around training is considered the most beneficial time to use them, and beta-alanine is good for the H+ buffering effects.

Tingle ends up going away.

If you can find some kind of aussie crystal light, it supposedly makes it taste nice - I’ve never found anything though.

Regardless, I think that when dieting or bulking it has its place. Multi purpose sup. But yeah standalone taste is average - better than bulk BCAA though.

yeah seriously. its not that bad. mix some tea in with it or some stevia.

For a flavored BCAA product, I’d go with Xtend. Although for me, I’m ordering unflavored powder in bulk, as it’s much cheaper and you can just mix it with whatever flavor Crystal Light you want.
