Purple Drank

So what (legal) alternatives are there to things like this? Something that one could have 3-4 nights a week to put them in this relaxed state?

some sort of tea?
glycine?
-i’ve tried melatonin, but just came off using 2mg for about 180 days; and didn’t notice a daaang thing.

“what the fuck is grape JUICE?!”[/quote]

I’m a huge advocate for Valerian root. Rather than dealing with mixing it into a tincture and all that complicated business, I just buy tea made with it. The kind I’ve had success with is Celestial Seasonings chamomile tea with Valerian extract. It has a purple stripe on the box.
I steep 2 or 3 bags for awhile and sit back and relax. I swear it’s like natural vicodin. Of course it’s not going to knock you out if you don’t TRY to relax. Breathe deep, let your muscles loosen. Seriously, best sleep ever. And you don’t feel disoriented at all.

I didn’t notice a difference with melatonin either, but a lot of it is in your head. If you are trying to prove that it doesn’t work on you, it won’t. Ok I’d better stop before I go off on a hippie tangent.

This drink has Melatonin, Valarian root and Rose hips in it.

I agree with what you said about valarian root. I was pleasantly surprised when I tried it a while back and I still take it on occasion.

Melatonin works fine with me, but I need more that 3 milligrams in order to notice anything. Everyone has different results with these supplements.

X2.

I love valerian root [although, I’ve used pill form] for the evening, but lately it seems the brands I’ve tried haven’t been as good as the first brand I’ve tried.

I forgot the brand that worked for me. Go figure.

As for being a natural vicodin, I’ve heard it’s what they make valium with. I could be completely wrong, though.

I first took 3mg and that shit kept me up all night. I guess I had/have low tolerance to it. So now I have a bottle of 3mg pills that I’ll probably never use.

That’s like a few people I know who have reactions like that to Percoset and Vicodin. It does the complete opposite of what it’s supposed to do.

I go through periods of where I get very little sleep, mainly during the change of seasons and i’ve taken two Ambiens, but pretty much did nothing for me. Normally, I would only need half of a pill or one at the most.

What DO you take if you have problems sleeping, B rock?

Back in highschool (98-01) I used to take benedryl, now I know better.

I have a few shots of whiskey or a glass of red wine. (or have sex)

I bought Z-12 when it first came out; and it was nice. But not $50/mo nice. ::po folk::

CO2 and N2 ??

I do whiskey too, just a couple fingers over ice. Knocks me right out.

got a can at a smoke shop, tastes really good. I hear http://www.mypurplestuff.com/ is better though.

Melatonin seemed helpful at first, but then I began to notice that it started to really mess up my sleep. I think it is better suited to short term, low dose use, if at all.

I’ll stick to my usual.

Oh, you mean like this?

Didn’t read any comments, so sorry if this has been said, but this is a play off of “lean” which is liquid promithezine and codeine. Shit’s really expensive, and it’s basiclly like being sleepy drunk without the dirty feeling of alcohol. A handful of local rappers have OD’d on the stuff.

ELECTROLYTES!

go to 1:20

Remember when lean was cheap as fuck like 6 years ago? Used to pay $5 an oz, now that it’s 25-30 an o, someone came up with the idea to make cheap fake drank they can sell legally. LOL, I guarantee this won’t work anything like what it’s knocking off.
